Took mine into the dealer for it's four year major service, plugs, coils, oil, etc. etc., and once over before it gets another three years of warranty added to it.

A spendy day, to be sure.

Parked it under the 996s cherry tree too - just to make everyone jealous.

Are you having a Porsche CPO or third party warranty added? My CPO is up in another couple of months, but I've been told there is no way to extend the CPO without a Porsche dealership actually selling the car again... Which I suppose is technically possible (sell it to them, then re-purchase it), but realistically would not be worth it.

Perhaps Porsche CA is different, or are you going with something like a Fidelity warranty?

Absolutely agree... Plus I actually like the 991 Turbo looks a bit more than the 992 Turbo, particularly a 991 in Agate, with black wheels, and RS side skirts!

Porsche factory version here in Canuckville, $5700 cdn, full bumper to bumper, renewable 5 times (15 years), then I am on my own.

This should give me enough time to finish the 996, before delving into the 991...

Default Intercoolers

I bought some chinese intercoolers for donors. Cut them apart to use the end tanks with bell cores. Tacked together to make sure they fit.

Hope it works out. Wish you would have tested the China cores first before changing them.

I had Tial intercoolers and swapped them out for our Phoenix intercoolers and the data was exactly the same. Better than stock, but no difference between 5k intercoolers (USA) vs 2k intercoolers (China).

I love the project so im not worried about it. Fortunately im not even $2000 into this project. If i had to outsource the labor it would be a different story. Thanks for the intel though.

I do have a question, why wouldn’t it work out?

Have you pressure tested them for an extended period?

I would be loading them up to 25-30 psi and leaving them for a week.

That is a good plan - also make sure you have all the cut shavings out of the cores - that could prove to be expensive.

100%. I washed the end tanks an absurd amount of times lol.

A vacuum probably wouldn't hurt either.

Cobb PDK map (sport) installed and relearn, drove around, took some pics. Much better shift points in all modes.

Why the "Sport" option? I ask as "OEM+" has been recommended for my use (just a base tune going in). Thanks.

Was the recommended option by Sam, there was a poll recently on this and most agreed sport was their go to.
