As some have said in other threads, one of the main benefits from upgraded intercoolers on this platform is their capacity to delay heat soak beyond the point at which you would get heat soak from OEM units. Thus, more aggressive tuning can be run with the upgraded units. But the headers might improve spool and mid range improvements - do you detect that benefit when you drive?

I’m really interested in this because my next mods are Kline headers (to complement my catless Kline exhaust) and IPD plenum.
When I installed the headers and the ICs I was running a custom Cobb Stage 2 tune from Sam. Big gain just with the bolt ons. Sam then sent me his version of the Cobb Stage 3 tune. Wow! That really woke it up. We have some more tuning to do. Hope to get some runs in this weekend to send to Sam.
My understanding is that the headers add only nominal power (10-15hp) but are more of a sound improvement. Talk to Sam about it.
Love the new sound!

Is there a reason why the steering wheel buttons are missing?

I didn't originally have multifunction, so I kept it off. I did add the mode switch for really no good reason

It does look good - way better than the .1 wheel.

I’m here. If the .1 wheel wasn’t MFD, then it was the Sport Design wheel with paddles and therefore not the buttphookin’ugly .1 MFD wheel. You’ve replaced it with a .2 non-MFD wheel? So, no change in function at all.

Why? It looks the same, or almost the same as the .1 SD wheel you had.

This was my .1 wheel. The .2 wheel is also smaller and the paddles are better.

You made a very good choice, side markers notwithstanding...

I take it you had to add the adapter to get the mode switch to work?

Well… ok then. If that lifts your luggage. What CAN bus kit/hack did you use? I’m thinking of going to the .2 wheel, but only because I can get the spoke-mounted controls.

Yes the GPS adapter. https://gpsadapter.us

It works but not perfect, they use Bluetooth to make it work, so sometimes its a little slow. I probably wouldn’t do it now and save me the $500.
