Ugh

That is a real shame.
In basically a new tire.

Pull the nail out. I had my car at my indy. When I picked it up they told me I had a nail in one of the tires. I was upset they didn't pull and repair it. Got it home and pulled the nail. It was very short and there was no air leakage. In fact the tire was fine until it was time to replace both rears.

Lolol I got a nail in my brand new NT01s in basically the same spot. I just left it there, no leaks or anything. 2 years and going strong, the nail is still there with no leaks.
I'm more of a if it ain't broke, don't fix it type of guy

I'm not screwed.

I bought the Road Hazard warranty for $70 / tire from Discount Tire. They've already ordered the replacement for me based on the picture I sent and will swap it out when it comes in.

Possibly worth trying, but nine times out of ten it *will* be through the tire, and you will immediately go flat. Don't try it unless you plan on leaving the car where it sits until the tire is replaced.

Also got my DSC V3 this past weekend. Very quick install once you figure out the removal of the OEM one, less than 10 minutes.

Só far really like the driving feel. Tom set it up prior to shipping . Need more driving time to explore more of the overall feel but noticeable improvement from the 1st drive.

Yeah, I hear that.

I have had, and fixed, more punctures on the rears of the 991 over the past two and a bit years, then all of my other cars combined over the last 25 years - for some reason, it seems that the rears are magnets to drywall screws, rebar wire, and my fave, roofing tacks.

Fortunately, none have found the sidewalls yet...

How do you feel about spirited driving/drag racing on a plugged tire?

Reason I ask is many years ago I picked up a screw in a z-rated tire and plugged it.
All was well until one day I ran the car up to about 120mph and had belt separation in the tire from the belts being cut/compromised.
Ended up with a bubble in the tire and had to replace it.

I've had mine installed for a while, but it is an awesome upgrade! Right after opening up the exhaust sound, it's my next-favorite mod...
