If you do not have to reset the service light, no need to take it to the dealer. I buy my own oil and filter and bring it to a local shop for mid-cycle change for $15. 😊

That's awesome - this year I took it to my BMW dealer and he charged me $260CDN. He even overfilled for me...

I had the service light. My small independent BMW/Porsche shop reset it. No need for a dealer.

Gee, what a deal. How many quarts did they supposedly put in? My paperwork says 8 quarts.

It was right on the limit - the yellow, 'oil overfill' lamp did not come on until I got hard onto the throttle, so they took out half a liter, lamp went off.

Everybody gets one...

damn, I was quoted $700 USD from my dealer!
I have a PIWIS so I can likely program anything that they would need to as part of the regiment.

I was also told $900 for spark plugs. Does that sound right?

$900 for spark plugs from what I’ve read doesn’t sound too bad. I’m about due for that as part of my 30k service

$900 for spark plugs isn't bad if they charge $150/hr for labor and it's a six hour job...

$700USD for an oil change is ridiculous.

Your car looks amazing. Curious though, why not a cup front bumper? Looks almost identical to a gt3 front bumper and nearly 1/2 the cost.

Yes, very difficult to do spark plugs. I did it when I was upgrading turbos. Not sure how else you'd be able to do it without taking turbos out.
