Default new tire time

So found a cheap OEM wheel to replace the rashed one on my car. When it's off the car, it is comically huge.

A roof rack on a 911 is; impossibly, so wrong, while also being soooo right.

Further proof that these are God’s perfect cars lol

I wonder how many cans of Race Fuel I could fit in a rack like that 🧐😁

Every metal has advantages and disadvantages over the other. Magnesium wheels are extremely lightweight and typically much more lightweight than their aluminum counterparts (for example the BBS Mags) although in this case they are about the same weight. Magnesium is highly susceptible to corrosion. Because of this HRE has chosen not to use this material despite its lightweight advantages. They want to use a material that is easier for the end user to maintain so that he/she can enjoy the wheels for 10+, 20+ years without problem. HRE has spent a lot of time researching different metals to discover what will be the best material for them to use in the years to come. Here is an excellent video to watch to get a sense of the type of thing that HRE is doing behind the scenes to further the wheel industry - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F2F...ature=emb_logo

Right on...and I owe a bit of an apology....my recollection was off....it was the comparable BBS Mags that the Litespeed Racing wheels were $10-$12k less than ;-)

I have a rack for my 996 - it is not installed because, quite frankly, it is horrible.

Yeah if this is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. I even installed PIAA yellow lights on the rack to troll haters.

The proportions aren't perfect but it didn't turn out too bad. I slapped it on my car and drove over to my friend's house. We got some good laughs out of it. I had planned on removing it pretty quickly but it's kind of grown on me and is a good conversational piece.

Looking back at the original post, I sure hope you didn't tighten those wheels down while it was sitting on the ground like that, right?

No, not only have I lost 70lbs since then, I had a helper hold the brake pedal - I can easily move the car with that wrench....

Thank you Sir; I'm not done yet - goal is 90lbs plus.

Funny what you can achieve without beer in your life...

Couldn't stand the visor warning labels any longer...They were coming off or I was buying new visors. Did this on my other P cars but none were leather like these. Turned out pretty good even if I do say so myself.
