I would bet on at least some RS specific-colours. General sense is no decals though.

I am glad that you consider this question valid. It is not answered by this film. I have also heard & seen videos such as this with the argument that the track sound seems to be n/a. But I am not convinced by this alone. Turbo cars can be made to sound like this if the manufacturer is clever enough. This may very well be the next naturally aspirated gt3 rs, or it could easily be the next GT2. I wouldn't rely too heavily on the sound you hear of these cars on track.

one thing that may lend credence to this is listening to the end of the video as the car is pulling up the straight it sure doesn't sound like 9000 rpm shifts, it sounds more like 7k to me. I've heard GT3's pulling away like that and they SCREAM, that sounds more like my TTS with lower rev limiter.

The plot thickens...

Is that the wrap you can see along the edge of the roof panel where it meets the door frame?

Seems like it should be easy to add to a GT3, though I'm not sure I care that much.

I think you may well be onto something here. When I first saw this video I assumed all cars were N/A. However, I have now been lucky enough to spend time in and around a GT2RS and listening carefully to this video, certainly the first clip of the "car" as it pulls away from the video it does have a very similar sound to the GT2RS just before it changes down gear and the gear change seems different (less burble) than the other clips on the video. For sure the other clips in this video sound more GT3 ish. Maybe there were two cars out there.....

My dealer "told" me I may want to opt for the GT2RS instead of the GT3RS that they have me on the list for at #1 spot. I was puzzled and he said it's coming at the same time, I took it with a grain of salt, but they have been straight with me.

If the 991 GT3RS is a turbo with paddles only....I don't even want to think how much the prices for the 997 GT3s will move up.

Well we know that is not going to happen with this RS generation. No turbo and paddles.

Sorry to disagree so strongly, but there is no way the 3 RS would be turboed. First of all, it would be a marketing and sales disaster for the model. Second, Porsche will continue making NA engines in its high end performance cars. If 918 is any indication of future Porsche DNA, it has a NA high performance engine aided by emotors for efficiency boost, not turbos. Third, Porsche will continue to distinguish itself from Ferrari by not going to Turbos; which would you buy, a turboed Speciale or a NA 3 RS? Fourth, the only reason turbo vents are used in 3 RS is to provide better intake as the vents over engine lid are eliminated and also further enhance cooling while using the wider rear of a turbo. I am willing to bet there are no turbos in that engine. Porsche, please, please don't prove me wrong, otherwise I would fully subscribe to the idea of buying a Speciale!
