GT2 RS Pricing
#32
It the hottest and newest Porsche GT car. They will sell 500 or 1000 or however many they make. Even at MSRP I would and do have a 488. No 300K car makes any sense anyway.

Also guys who can only afford a $60K GT350 that goes like snot can make the same argument as to a $200K+ car.
I think it's all relative.
Many here have way way more in cars than I and there are times I wonder why I have $650K ~ tied up in cars in my garage. Others here have that in one car and have many others but for me thats a butt load of money sitting in a garage.

On topic, I also believe Porsche is testing the market with their pricing and also trying to squeeze the flippers with the pricing of the 2RS. Also, the Weissach packages blows without the belts and bars.

Yes, across ~6 different currencies. We need to lock pricing for ~$500 million projects which can take 5 years to construct, though I don't know the mechanics.

The RS is insane speed 720LT 488GTO Performante - track versions always hold better.

My gripe is that on the GT3RS, GT Silver was a no-cost paint option, apparently in recognition of the owner already spending an additional $45K for the RS over the GT3. But now, despite the fact that the buyer is spending at least $150,000 more than the GT3 cost, we're being squeezed for an additional $4,220, 6 X the cost of the same GT Silver on the 2018 GT3-2!!!!! Where is the logic in that????

Remember when regular Black was a very expensive PTS color on the 997 RS 4.0 and 911R, while it was free with every other model they made?

Aside from currency hedges, PCA also has to price the car to reflect the risks associated with each of the markets.
So, if we're talking the U.S., I'm sure some of the base MSRP of the GT2 RS (or any Porsche vehicle) builds in the risk of regulatory compliance (EPA, DOT, etc.) as well as legal exposure, which I believe may generally be higher than most first-world countries.
