See, turbos and diesels really do ruin it for everybody.....that said, my 6MT delivery date of 1/19/18 hasn't changed.

It's definitely Trump, one of his sons must not be able to get an allocation. lol

I have a friend that told me the same delays occurred with the Macan, cayenne, Panamera etc about every time they launch a new car initially. This could well be why it appears no cars will be delivered until Sept in the US. I read on RL where someone was talking about their car being delivered in July but they were in Europe.

If the delay is emission related, does this mean it may only impact the first round of deliveries? I'm assuming they will be held up in port waiting for clearance. But Porsche will continue making cars at full steam so once they are cleared all future orders will be on track.

I would agree. This may just impact the early deliveries. Those cars may stack up in US ports until cleared.

This would make sense but for one critical issue. If the GT3 doesn't get clearance and requires additional safeguards, Porsche doesn't want to recall all the already built cars. This may explain why the bulletin announcing the delay stating no car will complete production until September.

Really sucks if that's the case - hopefully it won't last too long. I talked to my sales guy a few weeks ago and they had another problem with Macan's and couldn't sell them because of something with the EPA. The new Panamera also had this problem. I haven't heard that my build is significantly effected so far, but part of me worries this will be longer than a week delay.

Just learned my freeze date has changed from June 20th to July 14th. My build date from July 21st to September 15th. Delivery changed from Mid September to Nov. 24th.

The changed dates are much longer than one week. I suspect other will be impacted as well.

The mfg do make changes, adjustments at port. If there is an EPA related issue my guess would be a software upgrade. The ports can almost build a car as all shipping related damage (if that were to occur) can usually be addressed in port.

It seems all indications point to it being an EPA band width issue not an actual GT3 design issue. If so, again I would think that once they get clearance from the EPA then everything will be back on track quickly.

US Gt3's will not finish production until sometime in September. For an example, my car was to be built July 21st and now the PVMS is showing entering production on September 1st and finished September 15th. Car at Emden port September 21st.

I don't think any cars will be shipped to US ports and complete production there.
