I think this is now a challenge to see how big of an A5 I can eat.

Wagyu carpaccio is another way to manage the richness while savoring the flavor

I’ve eaten lots and lots of various brands of wagyu and different grades in japan. I don’t like it as steak. It’s good thin sliced and grilled.

but. The Australian wagyu style is good. Has the flavor with less richness that caters to eating like a steak. The American hybrids/cross breeds are good but the Australians are nailing the steak game. i think the difference is in diet and way they raise the cattle vs the Japanese style.

This is a very good assessment in my experience!

yes if I want angus, get the best one you can find! prime + dry aged = money.... but not cross breed.

turn off strava, eat more steak... winning.

I have had a few A5 Jap Wagyu in the past, Kagoshima, Takamori, Ozaki, Kobe, as well as Australia’s Jack’s creek - winning pure-bred black Angus.

I have to say for the best marbling and chuck tail cuts Kobe Wagyu is still my fav, with a
premium to pay, but is worth it in my opinion.

when I was down there ('03 - '07) they were exporting their best beef to Japan - I hated that

I was surprised there was no Aethos chatter on here. Seems like a perfect bike for the non-racing S-Works addict that just wants to get out at ride/drive! I am too busy buying mountain bikes but I do want an Aethos!
