Don't know the answers, but the fact that they drastically reduced the stiffness of the valve springs and the friction with the cams should help that interface (whatever the material).

I am really curious to see the top end of this engine and the finger followers or whatever they are using. With a high rpm engine I'm sure they were afraid of valve float so they increased the valve spring rate which put too much pressure on the follower. I guess better to have some worn followers than bent valves.
I'm not sure how they have addressed potential valve float while reducing the force on the follower?

Performance difference with the same driver in the car is 6 seconds. GTS was not on semislicks. Oh boy, that GTS is good !
Still glad I'm getting the GT3 though.

BOOM, this is the one I was waiting for. So what do we have ? CG does a 7:24 in the GTS and a 7:18 in the .2 GT3

Ah, ok, but still...
Again an illustration of how difficult it will be to sustain a NA GT line in the future ?! Competition is growing ...
The GT3 still has the heritage, the passion, the raise your arm hairs x factor. It's in a niche of its own. But there's no denying cold hard performance !

These days cold hard performance is a commodity easily found. Something exciting and emotional to drive is a rarity...

Some words: Lap was driven the same day as Porsche's 7.12,7, also with the same car. This particular car has no satnav and infotainment systems (saves 7,8 kg) but it has rollcage (+20 kg) and Cup-raceseats (+9 kg).
