No exact numbers but for model year 2018, expect slightly over 1000 cars for GT3 for north America.
GT2RS is coming out very soon, so its not going to be a "send-off" since 991.2 still got some life in it.
Maybe, but nothing concrete yet.

Panamera 4 E-hybrid Sedan residual is 56% for 10k 36 months.
Sport Turismo programs are not out yet. But to PFS fashion, most likely it will be the same %. If not, it should be within 1% difference.
They are building the Sport Turismo in very low production quantity.

Why would Porsche announce the .2GT3RS so soon after the .2GT3? Have they done this before? If not and they do present it this September then I suspect the production of both the GT3 and GT3RS will end in the summer of 2018. This may have something to do with EU emission requirements effective August 2018.

1. production for 2 years from June 2017 - June 2019
2. 4,000 units produced. Could be more, Could be less.
3. 25% to North America
4. All model year 2018. Even for cars produced in June 2019. Similar to .1RS with only 1 model year regardless of year actually produced.

2. Is all of the above a "wait and see" approach? If so, how does any region/dealer plan? Could be total 4,000 units? Could be 1,000 total units?
