That email from PCNA must have gone into the SPAM folder for some dealers, especially most of the dealers in CA.

I recently put my name on a few waiting lists and on the paperwork was the usual `Sold at market price', which may mean they could add a markup, but I was sold the GT4 at MSRP.
This time there was an additional `Must register in dealer's market region', not sure if that's a dealer or PCNA directive.

I did not hear of such order. PCNA, as always, will time to time remind dealers that's what they should do, but there really isn't anything they can "require" or "order" dealers to do at the moment.
Certainly PCNA loves dealers selling cars locally to their own market region. However, I've seldom ever hear about GT car loyalty, or GT car owners are preferred over other Porsche car owners. PCNA ultimately loves brand loyalty across different models, people who buy not just GT cars, but also regular 911, cayman, Macan, Panamera, Cayenne.
Those EU license plates look so much better than ours. Ugh.
Now THAT is a case of grass being always greener on the other side. EU plates are massive and required both front and back, you can't personalize them, and there are no special colors. We have it really good in US with tiny plates, with most states only requiring rear ones and custom colors and scripts. If you like EU plate, you can buy one online and stick it behind your rear plate then put the US one on top for that "consul" or "I just drove over from Europe for the week" look... all the cool people are doing it.

I agree for the rear plate - US shape works well. On the front, US plates look like they belong on a bus or a truck. There is no flat enough surface to match the US plate shape on most sports cars, so it looks so out of place. Euro plate sits nicely along the front bumper, looking much less out of place.

As an owner of P cars on both sides of the atlantic I agree that the rear looks better with Euro plates. (Especially on aircooled that has bumperettes)
The front is still a bit of a problem. I have actually been running stickers on the front of my European cars. Don't want to drill the bumpers and afraid the plate will fly off doing 270km/h on the Autobahn.
Some countries in Europe actually allows personalized plates. Cost is about 600bucks and you choose what you want. Max 7 letters.
