Used up my patience. Shop insurer has concluded it's a total but dragging on the offer. Infuriating. Had my lawyer drop a letter Friday and gave them COB on Monday. I'll go get numbnutz on negligence with bad intent.

You were cool, and tried to work it out as adults. If that fails, go nuclear.

Good luck!

So sorry.

Am feeling all your pain. Infuriating, Yes.

Stay the course and let your life not become negatively affected to the point that the true joy of ownership of these wonderful P cars, won't once again bring a smile to your lips.
You will survive. You will be better for the pain.

And. You WILL once again know the joy of GT3 RS ownership. I know you will.
You haven't kicked the dog or wife yet either..... all good !

Consider us already called with this thread. Not that any of us would ever patronize this shop, but...

"Hey shop owner, I know this is a ****ty situation all around, but you should know I have a thread on the largest Porsche forum that is close to 600 posts deep. Everyone is a current, and almost certain, future Porsche owner. They are all waiting to see how you handle this. I'd suggest acting accordingly."

The damage to the shop over people here is already done. Even if they cut a check today that is acceptable, I hope no one here is stupid enough to ever use them considering the pattern of behavior.

The key would be to reach out to local customers unaware of this forum.....sounds like an opportunity for a picket line.....take it to the streets....LOL.

The insurance company dragging it's feet like that make me wonder if the shop owner's policy has high enough limits to cover the amount of the loss. I worked in the industry for a bit and saw things like that happening occasionally.

One would think that would be a given, but with everything else that has been improperly handled, a coverage issue wouldn't surprise me at this point. Insurer can't tell you that, they will just string you along while they try to handle the behind the scenes stuff.

Hope this isn't the case for you. You've been an example of how one should handle this. I wish the best for you sir.

IT'S OVER! Nasty lawyer letter worked. Total and we agreed on value at my number so all good. Wow....now back to regularly scheduled programming. I can't thank you all enough for the support, comments, advice and tips that ultimately led to this outcome. This board was a life saver and some of the stories helped to keep me sane while the investigative work was phenomenal and did lead to the total outcome. I can't thank you all enough, what a great community.....!!

Wow. End to the nightmare! Please keep us posted on the "next".

Bob Hindson Racing and Aaron Holstrom will live with this much longer than this settlement as they SHOULD.
