I love Jack Olsen's '72! I had it's spiritual brother. I had a '72 Black Targa but didn't have the big RSR Flares, instead, opted for the narrower Carrera flares (slightly different than the Carrera RS and much narrower than the RSR Flares), like Jack's car, mine also had a 3.6 liter. I miss it every day! Sold it about 2 years before the early cars started going through the roof on prices. here's a pic of it, luckily, I still have visiting rights and the new owners have repainted it white.



RSR Flares, subtle differences But I agree, I wouldn't mind doing another one but going RSR Flares!

More torque than RS? Will definitely be more torque than GT3, but can't imagine more than just a smidge more than RS is possible...

Will be interesting to see where they set redline.

Is it only me, but in the testvideos fr nordschleife it seems to be shifting (pdk ofcourse) quite early never reved (guessing) above 6000!?

I'm sure I'll be drooling over it either way, but I REALLY hope they don't do 495 hp and go with 500+.

I mean... nobody will be able to feel the difference so from a performance perspective it's all moot... but when someone asks you how much power you've got doesn't it just feel better to say 500 rather than "almost 500"?

I'm hoping more for some really cool surprise technical innovations, either in engine, transmission, or chassis-suspension.

-better brakes somehow
-faster shifting pdk-s
-magnetorheological shocks
-lighter or better wheels with more rear steering capacity
-flat-shifting technology manual transmission
-better monoblock easier to install/remove wheels
-an integrated camera setup option like mclaren and corvette
-shift lights?

Can't think of anything else...
