you dont believe, they could have been so mean to produce more RS than you think they did. how dare them trying to make money?
they dont publish sub segment production number below 911, you have been told repeatedly!

From: The way to hell is paved by good intentions “Wenn ich Purist höre...entsichere ich meinen Browning” "Myths are fuel for marketing (and nowadays for flippers too,,,)" time to time is not sufficient to be a saint, you must be also an Hero
U.S. got quoting your pessimistic estimation 1500 RS
1500*4.5 = 6750 RS based on your pessimistic estimations and official WW sales numbers
About production line capabilities :
do you know(?) 991.2 2016 sales were down Vs 2015 991.1 NAs
so
any unsold facelifted 991.2 left space for highly demanded WW RSs
or do you want to tell us only U.S. was ordering RS ? they were delivered either in small villages that you can t say the name go figure
this remember when i was 5yrsold and friends pretending to have the only one toy ever produced
you call it exclusivity right?

Waxer: "This is why I believe that all this speculation that a manufacturer like Porsche who is building many other bread and butter models on the same line could pump out more than twice the original planned number of RSs in the span of nine months worldwide is bs. Makes 0 sense. "
right
so you think its relevant to tell people the RS was built only for 9 month? seriously?
at first i thought your repeated misinformation and stating of wrong facts are due to your overblown worries about the stability of pricing for the car you own but i run out of excuses for you, you just keep going and going and your opions are diverting more and more from facts
i told you how to get reliable RS production numbers, have you done that? if yes then why are you still talking complete nonsense? and if you haven't then please do

Announcement of continued/additional production came in the spring of 2016. You weren't aware of that? Seriously?
You have a way to get reliable RS production numbers? Really? Gee I'm sorry. If it's something beyond what Loess and Macca have posted which I think are likely pretty accurate please enlighten me and others who may have missed it. Further you should stop worrying about my worries.

What I'm saying is that extrapolating based on worldwide production figures and past production is just that...speculation.
I think Macca and Loess have the most accurate figures we have without getting the actual production numbers from PAG.
Anyway any future GT3 RS will likely be a 992 and my bet a tt

I don't write here too much and there are already too many cleaning ladies around as you know. But let me say , probably you remember that me and other Italians were invited to see a digital preview of the car before the launch of the last RS.And then all was confirmed. Strange but true, Italy was the main source of info in those days.. Well the same dealer I visited at that time, told me this just 2 weeks ago (I was there asking about the Gt3 MKII):
Selvatico, I got confirmations that the RS MKII is planned for January 2018. Use this as an info coming by a serious guy, no jokes and don't insult me pls

Yep, this is what I posted on April 28th last year.
?......I had this info confirmed yet again yesterday that PAG has confirmed to dealers in Europe the following dates for production.
GT3 June 2017
GT2 RS early 2018
GT3 RS June 2018
In usual fashion, model announcements to the market will be 4-6 months in advance. GT3 formal release is Geneva 2017.

You don't question the fact that Porsche wants to make as much money as possible do you? Neither do I. And that we can both agree. That would also include not over producing a model for numerous reasons . While I know Porsche clearly did produce additional RSs I don't believe they just did so blindly. That's all I am saying.
Grow up.
There will no doubt be a next GEN GT3RS. Question is whether it will be 991.2 or a 992 and whether it will be TT

Get ready to see 991.2GT3RS mules soon enough (summer) to understand that production will start in the beginning of 2018.
Right now, the show is for the GT3.2
the last NA RS is not yet on the road, history repeats and some speculators will take a hit...
GT3.2 - GT2RS - GT3.2RS - and then Limited Edition GT side by side with next 99x
money is waiting, PAG is ready to collect.

boy, 2018 is going to be a killer time for a factory tour! nothing but GT cars rolling down the line with the GT3.2, GT3.2RS, GT2. Will be harder to get a base 991.2 C2! Hard to believe , but exciting.

Back on topic after getting Waxed...
Anyone see this article saying the 991.2 GTS is just 2 seconds slower than the 991.1 GT3RS around the ring (7:22) with the optional tires? Even if you aren't in to ring times that is some serious time and definitely throws a hiccup into GT performance targets. I also don't think the GTS' optional tires are as good as the ones on the RS.
The second article states that they predict the GT2RS to run at least a 7:05. I actually thought is would be faster.
Porsche's GT division definitely has to up their game with the mkII GT3 to keep the hierarchy in check.

the production line can release 200 cars a day, 6 days a week...there will be enough for everybody.
