I googled salon de l'auto 2016 France and there's nothing about unveiling of Porsche GT3 991.2. They do indicate that the new Panamera will be introduced. If you go to google.fr you can access info about the show. Can I have a steak too?😃

Given that we have recently seen test pics and sightings of the new GT2RS, doesn't it make more sense that the GT2RS will be released in October?

Exactly what I had read a few weeks ago.

Can't wait until something gets announced so everyone will stop the unnecessary speculation already. This $hit has gotten very old. Next threads: How much will I lose on my car, Should I sell now or wait to see if "my" dealer will sell me an allocation, How much can I flip my allocation for...

I hate to break the bad news to you it's pretty much part and parcel of enthusiasts on a Porsche forum. I wouldn't let it get to you.

I rarely take any of this seriously! I've been on here for nearly 10 years now so I'm used to it. My favorite Porsche forum is the 356 Registry. Many of the members there own quite a few extremely valuable cars but they never mention value or have have huge egos. I'm "only" 41 but I guess I have an old soul when it comes to this craziness...

You've been around here for a while this has been going on for a loooong time.

It passes the time between track days.

Or for some. Cars and coffee and bubble wrapping.

Yeah, and Ill eat your hat once you've eaten your hat if you get what I mean LOL!

It make no sense for 991.2 GT3 to launch before 991.1 GT3RS & 911R has finished production to me. Especially if the car has 4.0L and MT as we believe it to. Even more so if there are further departures to the MA17X family of engines hidden beneath.

My money is on 991 GT2RS. We have seen multi car line up under camo month back with group test drivers and recent lightly disguised prototypes doing testing in the US. Having watched the 991.1 GT3 development form the beginning this is synonymous to what we saw then 3-4 months out from final launch...

They way I read it, " the GT3-GT3RS will no longer be in the catalogue, but not for long "(that could be the Porsche not Paris catalogue)
The comment also specifies that it will be NA and with MT given the enthusiasm raised by the 911R
