Default Noise from rear of RS

Not the exhaust

When hitting big bumps I get the usual cage creak but also a dull thump too on the NSR, it might be usual, I cannot see anything loose, the car is brand new?

These cars do seem to give off a lot of road noise & you hear every stone/chippon you driver over

Can it be that the rear wheel is rubbing the fender?

If a thump it could be the rear deck/lid adjustment required. Same issue on many GT3's. Minor adjustment to the two bushings should sort it out.

The noise is from the top of the two adjustment posts towards the front of the lid. Makes noise (sounds like suspension) when body flexes and they hit the hinge . I put a piece of thin rubber (3m double sided) on it and problem solved. Try that.

The cage creak is totally normal. My RS has 100 Kms on it and I have similar sounds from inside the cabin.

My boot lid was also making the clunking sound, dealer said that almost every RS they have had delivered has needed a new latch or an adjustment to stop the sound.

Ah I have been getting this exact same issue since I bought my car.. A dull thump is the best way to describe it. I thought it was normal as it sounds a bit like rear wheel is rubbing.

Thanks for the info. Will try to sort it out tomorrow morning.
