Please help: Is there an unwritten rule about commenting on GT3RS asking prices listed on rennlist vs. other sites? There is currently a listing asking $100K+ over MSRP on this forum (asking 350K for a 238K car). A member generously offered 50K over which IMO most of us agree is becoming less common. I suggested the seller take that offer immediately. The comment was deleted. Did I cross a line?
Same people will complain if you offer them a car for sale that it's too high and then turn around and try to sell another one at 2X premium.
Back on topic-
I have been selling and sourcing RS cars and even had Porsche dealers brag to me via text that they just charged some guy XYZ for an allocation. And wonder why I'm not happy for them- well that same guy is obviously not selling anything at msrp to me or anyone else.
I think that msrp is also slightly irrelevant - there are two price ranges for the cars effectively:
Approx 235k, (including adjustment) for stripper car
Approx 275k and up, loaded or PTS
If your dealer is handing out msrp builds now, good for you. I'd personally take another one and bury it in my warehouse, drain all the fluids and forget I have it. Or immediately use it as a bargaining chip to trade for 993 RS, 356 speedster, etc

+1 - though I would get one to drive given I already have one sitting undriven at 10 miles. I know 4 other people that would do the same so I think there is a very solid price floor.

Manual redline for the 3.8 will be 8.8k, PDK will still be 9k.

I have recorded around 1080 North American cars to date with a possible maximum 110 missing. May production was 71, June was 64 and July is looking similar. It's looking like maybe around 1500 cars for NA if production stays the same through December. However I wouldn't be surprised if they slow down ROW production and increase US production in the final few months.
