R value?

Just by a GT4 for more than $100,000 less. So 4.2 vs 3.7 to 60. Still saved yourself $100,000.
Let's face it- this is more about bruised egos than actually getting a 991R.
Who cares- you all will have a chance at the next 991.2 GT3 and RS- and the GT3 will have a Manual and maybe even faster

I wouldn't pay a premium for a 911R, but I would for an RS. RS has always been the pinnacle of the 911 of its generation and the 911R is a fun street car, but my plan was to drive the 911R and put very few miles on my PTS RS/replace it with something else. 911R is a real unknown on future value to me, like many of the numbered cars before it.

F12, that choice is easy. If you were to spend that type of coin how could one not go for that V12 HUMMING up front? Out of all the new Ferraris that would be the only car I would consider. Too heck with the 488, there is no Cross Shopping a 911 Turbo/TTS/RS with any other car in the similar power or price range.

The fox saw some beautiful looking grapes but couldn't get to them. She then thought to herself : " Ah they're sour anyway..."

The R would be great fun on the road, but my roads suck so track only. But still, I just see a .2 GT3 with a manual. So its just a year ahead of its time.
And as a sporty road car, I wouldn't get a 991 anyway because there's sooo much cool stuff out there for that. They're just not track worthy...
And because GT4. Same snick, snick, also able to go 4.0 and its really lighter and more compact. I think Id have more fun on canyons in a GT4.. For $140K maybe if loaded up with really cool exclusive stuff.
Bull****.

I agree with TRAKCAR,
991R will be special only because of plaque on dash.
Values will go down (as always) after the 991.2gt3 has been released with 4.0l and MT option.
So many great cars to choose from today. Just need to decide in what way we plan to use them. (And at the moment be lucky to get one or pay up)
When gen2 991gt3 is released all the disappointment will be gone because we can all get our R +wing and aero and for less money.

Yeah, I know. Thought I would never like PDK S but I do. A lot. Also due to my use. road comfy transport and track. The R would be great fun on the road, but my roads suck so track only. Than you have the R to park in the living room I guess?
Leave the door opened so you can see its no regular C2S
Plus the blurple psychedelic time machine made everything obsolete.
Well except maybe that one of one only street version old beat up 996..
