Yeah its 32lbs for the max 360ci install. Lighter than a huge stack of speeding tickets in the glove box.

Passport 32lbs?? Seems high.

Gun weight will depend on model and how many rounds you're packing.

Thought you might like to see a front and a rear caliper, albeit for two different cars.

Amazing level of detail, I'd hang this stuff on the wall as art. Admire your dedication and knowledge to make all of this a reality.

The only way it is worth doing is the right way. The calipers are machined from forged Aluminum Lithium. The pistons are titanium and are cross and gun drilled. And the bleed screws are replaced by titanium dry breaks.

BTW, the brake lines are DR-25 covered metal braided with titanium ends that are coated with ti nitride.

Those are beautiful Robert. What do they weigh in comparison to the stock calipers? Also, are the R calipers electroless nickle plated? They look fantastic!

Weight savings is approximately 25%. Yes, the R caliper is electroless nickel plated which is optimum for heat dissipation. The black one is for a GT2RS and is a bow to design.

Finally have time to attack two sources of weight high up and in the rear - the starter and the alternator.

Other than a few obvious items (e.g., wheels, battery, body panels, exhaust, [though I hope to establish a new weight bar with the exhaust for the 911R], etc.), there are no "magic bullets" in reducing weight, just smart, creative and innovative (and, one hopes, elegant) engineering (including better/different design and/or the use of different materials (e.g., aluminum, beryllium, carbon fiber, magnesium, plastic, titanium, etc.). And weight reduction is usually a pound by pound expensive battle. Re the starter and the alternator, I hope to save a combined total of 6 to 7 lbs.

I am amazed by what you are doing. What is your target weight of your 911R when all said and done?
