911R Weight Reduction

Has this gone anywhere in five months besides a list of parts? Design? CAD? Tooling? Molds?
I'm also not understanding why estimated weights cannot be provided. Those would be known after the first design draft which is why this exercise does not seem like it's even reached that stage... the mag wheels notwithstanding.

It has gone quite far. Almost all original parts have been bought (a few are not yet available). Several new parts (e.g., steel springs into titanium springs, hinges into titanium hinges) are beginning production, others are waiting for lightweight re-engineering, still others are being or have been scanned to create digital drawings and, in turn, these drawings are being engineered in accordance with the material to be used and then tools are being made on the way to finished parts. All in all, it will take appproximately one year to do it all but, by the end of this year, quite a few will be in production.
P.S. Yes, weight distribution is being considered as much as possible.
P.P.S. I will provide weights when I have finished parts in my hand.

Acquiring the correct parts has been a bit difficult because of a number of reasons, including dealer knowledge base as to R, GT3 and GT3RS. Further, I am acquiring them in a particular order as I have pomised a few finished carbon fiber components by a deadline for a very specific reason and there is only so much capacity.

It all depends what the final result would be. It might happen that it's cheaper and better to loose weight myself instead of paying 10kUSD for 5kg.
I can afford and am considering Akrapovic for this matter, LiPo battery and maybe Iron rotors> ceramic. That would get me about 34kg savings for app. 20k USD.
I am 91kg so I see potential for further 7kg at 0USD cost Here actually I am gonna earn some.
I imagine that going further the cost goes exponentially but would be interested what that is.

That is true.
I was wandering if you can approximate weight reduction vs performance gains (normal weight and unsprung)? In other words how much more power your car would need to have to keep up with the same car but let's say 50kg lighter...
