As to the quality of parts for Kit 1, looking at that proposed kit, I would suggest as follows:
One-Piece Forged Magnesium Wheels - to be desined and made by BBS Racing (the supplier of 918 magnesiujm wheels) and, as such, better than OE and lighter
Lightweight Alternator - better than OE and lighter
Lightweight Starter - at least equal to OE and lighter
DR-25 (M Spec) Wiring Harness - better wire and better connectors than OE and lighter
Lightweight Specialty Alloy Rear Axles with 10 Ceramic Ball CVs - better than OE and lighter
Carbon Fiber Retractable Rear Spoiler - better than OE and lighter
Carbon Fiber Induction System - at least equal to OE and lighter
Carbon Fiber Oil Tank - at least equal to OE and lighter
Lightweight Hoses - better than OE and lighter
Aluminum Metal Matrix Composite Engine Pulleys - at least equal to OE and lighter
Wire Electro-Discharge Machined Specialty Alloy Transmission Output Flanges - better than OE and lighter
Titanium Suspension Springs - better than OE and lighter
Carbon Fiber Anti Roll Bars - at least equal to OE and lighter

Ruf website says 1190 kg = 2618 lbs. Not clear if that if wet or dry. In any event, I like the look of the 964 far better without the Ruf front and rear bumpers. Indeed, as a dream, I would like a 2000 lbs 964 with a 500 HP normally aspirated air cooled engine.

This evening I spent some time looking at complete titanium exhaust systems for the R. In short, they are quite good, far better than I expected, and should save approximately 10kg. Additionally, I have asked if it was possible to make a thin wall version, which would save yet additional weight.

I estimate Kit 1 would save between 110 lbs and 125 lbs. Though I never thouight of it as DIY, below are the potential parts with the ones that could be, potentially, so marked:

The more I think of it, the more a carbon carbon clutch should be included with Kit 1.
Also, as I think about exhausts, perhaps, depending upon the component, titanium, inconel and/or 321 stainless could be be included in some combination.
