For an exhaust, I am looking at the best combination of things at a reasonable price, i.e., less than $30,000. There are, e.g., certain newer titanium alloys that are significantly lighter than the norm that are worth evaluating. I could suggest the very best of all using defense grade ceramics that will endure in excess of 1600 C but the cost will exceed $100,000.

Yes, out of AL MMC.

As you know, almost anything, even plastic, can be replaced by something lighter. The question is how much and how long is one willing to wait.

To clarify, within 5 weeks we will be able to make carbon fiber versions of the following parts for the R:

engine lid (should also fit GT3)
rear wing
left and right side skirts (should also fit GT3)
rear fascia (should also fit GT3)
front fascia

All parts will be made from full metal tooling and can be had either clear coated or ready for painting.

I forgot, the engine undertray/rear diffuser will also be in carbon fiber made from metal tooling.

what is the design of the engine lid, rear wing , side skirts etc.. matched to the R just in carbon? or a different design of your own making?

Weight is about 50%. It is an exact match.

What about the 991 GT3RS? Any parts we can add to reduce weight? And would the Rs diffuser help with downforce? Or just added weight for not much return? Thanks
