Derek, the collector participates in races and his company sponsors races too. Cool Guy with a large collection of Porsches!
Thank you for your kind words and compliments (Nizer, Mooty, Z06, Gofishracing). Aetna Blau (Etna Blue) in person is the perfect blue for me especially in person. Choice of PTS is subjective to ones taste and preference.

That's not to say that the 720 isn't a great car (I'll prolly buy a 1k mile one when they're $100k under sticker in a few months), but we live in a world with corners.

By that time, fossil fuel burning cars will be highly collectibles.

Some of the issues with the electric cars is both the technology and infrastructure is not there yet plus a few other concerns that have been articulated:
1. EVs result in 3 times the toxicity due to heavy metals, such as cobalt used in battery manufacturing.
2. Range of EVs on the average is between 50 and 200 miles on one battery charge, “range anxiety”. Clearly there are Tesla vehicles with slightly better range but that is still a major concern.
3. Charging time is between 30 minutes and 12 hours depending upon battery capacity and speed of charging station. Charging is further adversely impacted in colder climates significantly extending charging times.
Lastly, charging stations are still far less common than gas stations and more difficult to find in some states. Sometimes when I am traveling even with my car I have to hunt a gas station down in the more rural areas.
