991 GT2RS

Appears to be ahead of schedule to be one year from now given the 991.2 life cycle, except if they're going to make them for a long time which they could given the VW cash circumstance. Possibly a GT2 this year if it's valid on timing?

Some of the issues with the electric cars is both the technology and infrastructure is not there yet plus a few other concerns that have been articulated:
1. EVs result in 3 times the toxicity due to heavy metals, such as cobalt used in battery manufacturing.
2. Range of EVs on the average is between 50 and 200 miles on one battery charge, “range anxiety”. Clearly there are Tesla vehicles with slightly better range but that is still a major concern.
3. Charging time is between 30 minutes and 12 hours depending upon battery capacity and speed of charging station. Charging is further adversely impacted in colder climates significantly extending charging times.
Lastly, charging stations are still far less common than gas stations and more difficult to find in some states. Sometimes when I am traveling even with my car I have to hunt a gas
station down in the more rural areas.

Thank you for sharing. What a video this is. Better yet what a Stunning car this is. The original car that holds the Nurburgring record and now have 49,000 KiloMeters on it and it still runs and drives like KongKong!

When I went to PEC Atlanta, there were practically brand new Turbo S with 200 miles and GT3 with only 400 miles and we were using it as if we stole it, without regard to break-in guidelines. So, IMO, knowing this is Manthey Racing, they truly wanted to test this GT2RS and maybe applied the no break-in rule of racing cars. Not sure about that but most racing teams there is no break-in period for the simple reason after the races they bring the engine out for overhaul. But that car having 49,000 KiloMeters just reaffirms how reliable and dependable these Porsche GT* cars. As Chris Harris have implied, this same car that broke and currently holds the Nurburgring record is a "collectible" for the history it presented.
I believe in the product of Porsche GT* cars being reliable and dependable. Built for the track, stays on the track! This video will make more believers of Porsche.

A friend of mine who recently took euro delivery of a .2 GT3RS said that the engineers told him that no break-in was necessary. From what another friend told me, it is more about the systems working together for the 'break-in' as opposed to just the engine. I have 1200 miles and used a gallon of distilled water.

No, a message appeared when I stopped to fill up with gas. I added just under 1 gallon of distilled water. The tank holds 1.3 gallons. Interesting that Manthey adds a second tank.
