Yes you can buy mag wheels but they're about 20-25K alone, so why not just get the WP for 31K and have all the extra goodies? ...that's why I decided to get it.
Not even 20k, they are 12k usd. Fi-r are as cool, almost as light, as tuff and only 8k.
There are 3 different BBS Forged Mg wheels people are confusing.
- BBS Weissach Package Wheel. Spokes extend into the wheel rim. Price from the parts department? Who knows. Right now they are unavailable.
BBS RE-1640/41 , aka the "WEC" or "Manthey" wheel, 20x9.5 / 21x12.5, weights are 15.9lb / 21.9lb
Available from dealers in the US for $19975:
BBS RE1757/1758 - only available for GT3 in 20x9 and 20x12, weights are 14.9lb /18.6lb. Cost is $17,500.
While an extremely nice wheel, and very light, not the right style IMO
Find good pics of both and compare. Outer edges of the spokes and lips are completely different. This has been talked about in several threads and I’ve posted pics before too. The lips on the BBS ones are completely square and the spokes are shorter. The Porsche version has rounded lips and longer spokes and look much better IMO. The Porsche ones will also cost way more money. BBS did change the Mag design for the GT3 fitment however and they are very close to the Porsche Version. But they left the 20/21 RS fitment the same old design with square lips. I like the new RS wheels on the .2’s more than the .1’s as well.
