I just thought it would fit and look nice to have this carbon fiber wheels on the 911R. Not sure when they will make more of these carbon fiber wheels on other Porsche GT cars.

Had a conversation with Subject Matter Expert Mr. Linton, and was told carbon fiber wheels are usable and fine on streets but not recommended for track use as further tests are being conducted.

For Porsche, outside of the RSs all the 911s use 245/35-20 305/30-20 sizing for tires. Wheel offsets and width are different though.

For Turbo/Turbo S, wheels sizes are

Front - 9 x 20 ET 51
Rear - 11.5 x 20 ET 56

For GT3/911R

Front - 9 x 20, ET 55
Rear - 12 x 20, ET 47

But they both share the same winter wheel set, which is

Front 8.5 x 20 ET 51
Rear 11 x 20 ET 59

As for comparison,

Regular Carrera/Carrera S

Front 9 x 20 ET 51
Rear 11 x 20 ET 70

Regular Carrera 4/4S

Front 9 x 20 ET 51
Rear 11 x 20 ET 52

Thank you Whoopsy for the info. I thought it would be an easy switch. I might as well wait then, until the new carbon fiber wheels are made appropriate for 911R. In the meantime I will take off the laser etched wheels and put in the carbon fiber wheels when it arrives sometime this fall, maybe early winter.
