Burning Brakes
When I was racing my 993 GT2, Max Crawford designed an improved Wing for me which I found hugely affective.
Shortly after receiving my 2014 991 GT3, I again contacted Max requesting he design an improved Wing for my new GT3.
I worked together with Max and his Engineers for a week at his Race Car Factory in Durham, NC.
The new Crawford Wing is Longer (60"), Wider, (10.5") and is mounted 5" higher than the original location thus capturing
more of the available airflow. The Brakelights being relocated to the Vertical Pylons no longer disturb the laminar required for downforce.
A nice side effect is that it does not interfere with the view through the rear Window. Actually very similar Wing Dimensions and
mounting locations were used by the 991 RS Models which followed the GT3. Several dozen Wing Kits were sold to RL GT3 Owners.
GT3.2 with Crawford Wing and Dual Brakelights on Vertical Pylons illuminated
GT3.2 Crawford Wing Upper Surface Note Wing was designed originally for 2014 GT3.1 by Crawford Composites for sale to GT3 Owners.
GT3.2 Crawford Wing from Above the Car Dimensions and location similar to RS Models

@FastLaneTurbo I've seen you run at Sebring many times in your .1 GT3 with the Crawford Wing, that thing looks awesome!
My question is, with all the added down force from the Crawford Wing does it make the car a little unbalanced? If so, have you ever added dive plane's to help balance the car?
...love the WP wrap by the way

nor most of the other owners who added that larger Crawford Wing. But I'm not driving the GT3 during any HPDE anywhere near its limits nor are MOST of the other drivers on the track. Generally Snap Oversteer is far more difficult to deal with, even for professional Drivers, (as the latest INDY 500 Miler Race proved) and I have always preferred to nail down the rear end of the car first and worry less about "Balance" than "Predictability" and "Controllability". Understeer is far more benign and controllable for most drivers. The Track behavior and predictability of the GT3 is exemplary, even in its stock form, and the larger Wing IMHO simply adds additional insurance towards that goal. If I were racing the car or driving close to its limits, I would be far more interested in achieving perfect "Balance". On its first Track outing at Sebring last week, I saw no problems with the Crawford Wing driving in the Red Run group and balancing out any tendency towards understeer with trail braking which further weights the front wheels.
Other than a Track Alignment, I have no plans to enhance its Track behavior further.

Guys i was looking at Porsche’s website to check on configurating my own specs for the GT2RS but seems like they stopped this feature! Meaning that they no more accepting more orders.
Most likely they fulfilled all orders and we by now should be able to know how many cars will be manufactured.
I'm waiting for mine to arrive at the dealership but still no approx date was given!
i think still the magnesium wheels are delaying the orders.
Best.

PTS?
Wondering if anyone has information on whether Porsche has opened up the PTS for specifically the Weissach GT2RS? I was informed and read PTS had been opened for other models ie GT3RS/ weissach. Sorry if this question answered somewhere else. Thanks

Mine is arriving next week but it will not have magnesium wheels mounted. It will come with the regular RS wheels and once magnesium wheels are in stock they will ship them to me. Sucks as I wanted the magnesium wheels on delivery but the plus side is I will have extra set of wheels

They stopped more than 3 weeks ago world wide but a lot of cars are still in production process...many are not sold yet.
