Approved. I tested a lot of different pressures to the Ring and tracks, my personnal conclusion:
RING = 2.2 / 2.4
Track = 2.0 / 2.2

Going under 2.0 is a real danger in Michelin and Trofeo as they cut / explode like Kobalt did.

Hard to say tbh, CJ did say in the Mclaren thread he thought the new 720 corsa was very similar to the 675's trofeo. The SportAuto braking numbers also seem to suggest a lot of grip in the new tyre. It's not as obvious as previously that a Cup2 was miles faster than a corsa anyway.

Agreed. The 720 may have active aero, but I suspect the GT2 actually generates more total downforce. The 720 excels due to having less mass, more power, hydraulically linked suspension, better weight distribution, stiffer chassis, lower center of gravity, less drag etc etc....

Seb, If you get the chance to see the calipers when they are off the car: In wonder if there is any spacer between the caliper and the upright. Or if the caliper is bolted directly to the upright.

Let's not forget the 720 did the Ring in 7:14 two seconds slower than the .2GT3 and about 28 sec. slower than the GT2.

You will have to get past the 720 Spyder first at the next Geneva before the LT versions

But the Sport Series 600LT will be introduced at Pebble this year as a 2019, Spyder version of that is 2020.

That's interesting use of numbers.

the 720 was 7:14 at the 'ring with one of the german mags (AZ or something). The same driver for the same magazine was 7:24 for the gt3 for a more reasonable comparison.

Anyone who actually thinks the 720 is slower than the .2 gt3 on any track I'm sorry is pretty clueless.

Do you really think that with the same driver on the same day under the same conditions that a 720S wouldn’t destroy the GT3’s time?

On all the other tracks the gt2 rs has won against the 720 s so it s strange.

so far the only vaguely comparable test to this one at hockenheim GP was the one at sachsenring where the 720 was just under a second slower than the N2 shod 2rs. So pretty close between the 2 on a sample of.... 2.

Is it that much of a surprise that a lighter more powerful car albeit giving up some tyre/aero grip but with some trick systems, plus what looks like a pretty similar tyre will be close in performance to the 2rs on track?
