Thank you for sharing your initial feedback and congratulations on your new and latest toy.
So there are delays in delivery due to supplier issues.
Were you able to see any GT2RS that had PTS + WP? With the limited production numbers you shared, I wonder how many GT2RS will have both the PTS + WP.

Hi,
My apologize for the very long post.
i got delivery of my GT2RS at the factory this week and I'm glad to share with you this experience and some infos i received.
The program happened in the brand new factory collection area directly in front of Porsche exclusive office and consisted of the handover of the car, factory tour and lunch in the "Casino".
A magnificent Ruby red metallic GT3 Touring was standing in front, this was the first feeling when we arrived, it gonna be special !
I did the museum tour by my own on Sunday as it was closed on Monday but should be also included in the program.
First of all the museum was an absolute blast legendary cars are standing in front you, even some kids touching them just to say the proximity you can have.. just exceptional.
We start the next day with the hand over of the car, it takes them 4 hours of work to make them super shiny.
The factory collection is mostly done by German and was closed for some time as before it was located where the mission E facilities are now being built.
Another client got the delivery of his GT2RS same moment, almost the same specs as mine... as i understood most of GT2 RS will be Silver then black..
Delivery took around 1H they set license plate in place, offering you to drill or not to drill holes in your bumper. I'm myself using 3M Duallock tape to not have any hole.
Got explanation about the PCM and stuff like that.... not my 1st Porsche so i quickly passed on that.
The most interesting info i got so far was that the distilled water is used only with very intensive track usage and for people like me that leave in northern countries the minus temperature are bad.
They didn't mentioned, how bad or what damage, but after 2 days bellow zero it could freeze and lead to some more issues. So i asked how the GT2 going to Levi are doing then he said they simply remove all the water.
A signal will appear on the dash board but that's all.
Started the car drove her outside in the parking that was it.
We had a bit of time before the factory tour and i took the opportunity to visit the shop and got myself a beautiful 1/500 limited edition 1/18scale GT2RS in, the same specs as mine.
We have been asked to drop our phone in a locker and then we start the tour.
Absolutely superb experience, no doubt why Porsche is so special. Walking between all different production and assembly line is a crazy experience.
The visit was organised around the time we could and couldn't spend here and there, 1 year before models are released they are already going through the product line... at this time my guess was that we probably could hand up seeing a 992
Later in the visit we saw a silver one from far away. Needed to keep my attention high as we were moved from one place to another quite quickly
I have met different people and asked as much question as i could, i got some confirmations and discovered new things. Obviously these are not official statements and don't want to harm anyhow the nice and super pro people that we have met.
I didn't signed anything, they obviously didn't shared secret but just confirmed some things that were already out.
The nonverbal communication play also a great role so i have asked all what i wanted.
Porsche is producing 250 cars per day and all GT two dors are produced in Zuffenhausen, usually there's multiple suppliers for spares and not only German, it's is GLOBAL. More and more stuff are done in Hungary.
This is also the reason why i handed up with Dunlop and the other client with Michelin. Because Porsche don't want to rely on one supplier for the pricing and for the stock availability. Keeping their sources under pressure.
There's two lines for engine building and the line for the 911 produce around 300 engine per day at least the day we were there.
It takes 1 week to finalize completely a GT2RS. We have seen a bit of every thing but during the hour we were there we have seen multiple GT2 and 991.2 GT3, some cayman, turbo and carrera.
The Gt2RS is a limited car and the numbers shared here are quite accurate around 750 cars should be produced in Europe and same for ROW.
I have read here and i can confirm that the steering wheel in carbon is out of stock mine was delivered with a funny plastic steering wheel, looks nice and funny but you can see that it's not matching with the rest of the car.
The fire extinguisher was also missing it seems that the GT business is booming and such things are missing supply.
After the visit we got a nice diner at the restaurant we started driving. We arrived yesterday evening and have done 2500KM bringing the car home.
About the car !
Before starting the engine.
Interior is pretty much like any recent 991, the red is disturbing of course, i wouldn't have taken it for everyday use.
Nobody cant deny the color is very rich, it's nice. And i think this is really part of what Porsche wanted to do with the car. It feel really special.
Exterior is impressive, it's big ! really big ! bigger than GT3 RS and probably bigger than TURBO. It's massive and the front lip is very huge. Quite tricky for parking btw.
Rear wing, air intakes, this is just wow. It's really look like the king kong of 991 body builded all the way.
Starting the engine.
The ROAR you hear is LOUD and there's a lot of vibration. When you start driving, valves closed sound is like a normal 991 Turbo but louder, you can immediatly feel the very very stiff suspension.
Chassis is hard very hard and the sleeping differential noise make you understand make you feel like in a race car ( same as for Gt3RS)
Valve open the sound is loud very loud, i don't think i will install any Akra on it (at the moment). There is a BIT of drowning at 2500RPM and lot of vibration in the car. it's not comfortable on long distance but it's not bad for a bit of fun or making your guest passenger understanding that the car have potential, it leave no doubt.
Valve open you cant even make a phone call. Valve closed different story we drove 2000KM and more than 10H in row and no headache, no nothing. Valve is opening when you accelerate so even closed the car is LOUD.
The noise is very very close to ever a plane with propeller or a 4 stroke enduro bike. With the torque it even feels like a 450 or 500cc enduro bike, with limitless powerful acceleration. It's also remember me the sound of TCR turbo cars but louder.
The car is very sharp but as much as the GT3 RS i would say, the steering is super precise.
We kept max 4000RPM for 1000KM with cool downs and few revs up to 5500.
But here come the reality, not much people tried the car, and the one that did it... went to Portugal on track with wqrm weather. Fine. We have done 2500KM with an average temp of 5° outside and with heavy rain on Dunlop semi slick. When we arrived home the tires were like new... they didn't work at all. We drove all the way on hard rubber and we felt it.
I'm the lucky owner of a real widow maker and i wasn't believing that Porsche could do anything close to the 930 feeling. We were two in the car, my team mate is an experienced pro racing driver, i'm racing aswell but not pro.
I didn't believed when some people reported words from Timo or Mark saying that some customers might get some problem with this car. But be sure that this will happen. There's more power than assistance and safety program to support drivers. That's it.
You don't floor this car on the wet. We did some wheel spin while at 4000PM and 200kmh just saying... The distance management on the road is challenging... you can do a lot of overtaking but you hand up usually with very high speed when it's time to get on your line... etc..etc
If some don't know what humility means king kong will teach them. It's is that big.
Looking forward to go on the dry and warm track and see if the traction control is better in this situation.
I'm sorting out all the pics we have taken and i will share some later :-)

I forgot to ask about the PTS topic as i wasnt concerned, sorry for that

Great report, thank you for sharing!! Beautiful spec!! I especially like your picture of the RS casting a shadow on the back of the truck...damn that wing is big
Question, did you get the bose upgrade? Would you advise against it after hearing how loud the car is? I was going to add it to my spec, only because I have a hour and half drive to the track, but if I cant even hear it I would be happy to save the weight

Congratulations and thank you so much for the comprehensive review.
May I ask how exactly this information was given to you and by whom?
It's a much lower number than many here have been predicting.

Nice to see some real world experiences with the car, mine completes tomorrow and should be with the UK dealer before the end of the month,
I can’t wait.I am sure on cold tyres that the car will be a handful, I just sold a 991 Turbo S that had a tune and exhaust (650+ BHP) and that would spin all 4 wheels on boost in poor conditions in 3rd and 4th (keeps you on your toes). I am sure the GT2RS will light up the rears if they are not warm, but I have also heard once you get heat, its ability to put the power down is unbelievable.
Only 750 for Europe and the same for ROTW is lower than I expected, but good news for those who are lucky enough to get one. When the tyres bed in and you get grip it may be even noisier with tyre roar, does it have less sound deadening than a GT3RS? I had a 991.1 and it was liveable on a euro hoon, I hope the 2RS is too.
Enjoy the car and be safe, please post some more feedback once you have some grip J
