Setup numbers RS
#736
Hey TRAKCAR, Thanks, but I'm still a new driver - started this April but have some good coaching and around 25 track days so far. Just loving it!
Tires are 265 on front - not 295. No mods to fenders. I run with stability control and traction control on and they work perfectly. Don't know about ice mode. The one issue to be aware of is me and another GT3 guy with 19" wheels and stickier tires are getting warnings about rear wheel steering. So I eliminated rear wheel steering and swiitched to monoball suspension parts in the rear. Now the toe stays solid and it fixed the oversteer issue (345 Hoosiers help too!). I'm not too technical - just learning but James at Scan Automotive in Vancouver did the setup and is a super nice guy. I will also do my best to dig up whatever info you need if you are going to switch. Huge positive difference - car feels great! Think it cost around $60k CDN ($40k USD) for the whole switch from stock including steel brakes, BBS rims, shocks, etc. Gimme a call if you feel up to it! Not too many crazies modding their RS's. haha! 604 250 2470.

265-345 Got it.
I use R7 265/35Fr and 325/30Rr on 19" wheels and target 38 PSI both ends. I don't have any complications with electronics, but this is a 991 Turbo so not sure about the difference with the Gt3RS.
I haven't found much difference, if any, in terms of performance vs. 20" and Trofeo R on the track, but haven't tested under the same conditions.
I am going full slicks now, once I sort out the calculations of tire patch size vs. friction coefficient. Fronts slicks that fit 19x9s are all 650 then you jump to much wider tires. The rear can fit 705 or 710s. If you have a 9.5" wide wheel up front on 19s you can fit the 28/69 (hard) Michelin Slick and 31/71 Rr will work.

OK, got it.
You have just diffuser otherwise stock?
And second set of tires and pads I believe....
If I move to the Ring my savings on Tires and brakes would pay for a rental house LOL

Just to point out that the KW is a Manthey specially customized 991GT3 R race suspension, not the usual Clubsport.

Yes, only the diffuser, I wanted to post a picture of how the modification of the wing looked in case someone wanted to know it - it is from another car.
Tires: Yes, second set.
Pads: Changed front pads two times and rear once.

Thank you Trakcar for alignment settings. I tried -2 all around with 2mm rear toe at Road Atlanta this weekend. Car felt great, very stable under braking. Now if only those pesky IMSA boys were not there testing due to Petit ... I managed an ok 1:35.2 dodging them. Anyhow my goal is better tire wear but the car felt sharp and balanced. Everything else is factory settings. I like it and think I will leave it as is. A faster driver may not but its good for me.

michelin's running 31f, 32/33r psi. Tires are getting old but day was perfect 75 degrees. Car felt really good. Kinda bummed as I know i had another second in there but had prototypes running up on me constantly i only did 2 sessions Sunday and called it. Will go back to Dunlops next. My car came with them, I think they are a good tire and cheaper.
Again thanks for this thread!

Thanks
Dunlops not much different but I killed fronts not rears.
Also want more camber so maybe stick to MPSC2? We really need GT2RS N2 spec.
The last order Tirerack dropped price a bit:
$464F
$491R
