Default Fire Extinguisher

My 991 GT3 wasn't order with the Fire Extinguisher (the one that mounts on the front of the passenger seat).

The dealer offered to sell me a GTS version for $1500.

Does anyone have the part number the GT3 factory part numbers for the fire extinguisher and the mounting bracket?

Thanks.

It's 150$ when ordered from the factory. I wouldn't be surprised the dealer is asking 1500$.

My dealer told me it wasn't available for ordering. Part numbers would be great.

Don't waste your money....factory one is junk. If my car was burning it would be a waste especially a engine fire. It's for looks only, go buy a good extinguisher with proper type of fill.

Here's the factory one. It looks cheap but I'm a poser anyway,I don't plan on actually using it.

A halon extinguisher is a much better choice than the factory part. Also, if you are trying to extinguish a fire in your car it's good to remember that you only have one birthday suit.

Agreed. Get the Rennline. My GT3 came with it, however I just installed a Rennline fire extinguisher in my 2003 996TT.

Hmm....I don't think so. Rennline offers a couple of brackets and they move with the seat, so the seat itself has to come out or at least be completely unbolted and tilted back to install the bracket. One of them won't work with adaptive sport seats. The Speedtactics bracket is very easy to install and works with all seats; you just remove the front seat track bolts and slide the bracket underneath. It is fixed, though, so you lose the last inch or so of forward seat travel.

The 2 smaller pics are of the Rennline brackets. The large one is of the Speedtactics bracket in my car. The Rennline are nice and more expensive. The Speedtactics is less expensive and more basic but offers ease of installation and it does the job.

I have a full ROW clubsport one brand new with bracket in box I'd be willing to sell (this is the large halon style one sold with European clubsport package). The issue is in in NZ and they won't freight these things by air....
