You love to call Auto Gallery a stealer, yet I don't see you use that term for some of the other dealers on here that are also asking over MSRP for their RS', including at least one site sponsor. Are they not stealers too? Why not call them out as well?

A number of dealers that people rave about on here 'oh they're the best, call Jim, they'll take good care of you' that have RS's for sale over MSRP right now. Why not mention them?

Agreed, but I think what you're seeing is an illiquid market become highly illiquid due to recent stock market movements. The sell out of these cars is likely to be really herky jerky and sporadic. Right buyer meets right seller at just the right time. Gonna take a while.

Demand is exceeding supply right now, hence the markups. If anyone is to blame it's PAG and PCNA.

The name-calling doesn't really solve anything. The bubble will burst, don't worry. Porsche hasn't stopped making cars or releasing new models, trust me. They are more money hungry than the flippers.

I don't buy cars to flip them...I buy them to drive them and most of them I have taken to the track. All the Porsches in my signature have been tracked (GT3 only 2 sessions but still). I'm a driver, not a collector or flipper.

Flashy cars are no longer in vogue. RS's will be selling under MSRP soon

I emailed on this car. Bottom line price still too far out of what I am willing to pay for an RS.

Looks like it finally sold. But here's another seller who is actually trying to sell the car...

It looks like a strippy. Probably sticker price in the high $180 to low $190 range?

Cars.com currently has 43 used RS's for sale in the $300-$400K range. I question 1-3 of the listings, other than that, all real cars.

So over half of all RS deliveries seem to be going to people who plan on flipping them based on how many are for sale.

The seller conveniently edited the build sheet to leave out the price, but it appears the car was originally from Canada (Ontario), so you'll have to do the currency conversion and add import duty/transport, etc., to figure what the US$ value would be. I reckon the markup is still over $75K on this car, given the favorable exchange rate. $212K Canadian = $155K USD at the moment. Base price on the RS in Canada is $200,700 Canadian, or about $147K USD, so this car has about $8K USD in options.

Probably because they are local to us in SoCal.

If martin lived in SF it would be whoever is in mooty's signature.

The discrepancy gives me the idea "some" of these EBay ads are not the direct sellers or flippers but more like "agents" acting as "middle men."

I wonder how much commission these "middle men" get from actual owners?
