I am really enjoying my F80 M3, and I have owned an e92 and e46 as well. Great daily driver with all the creature comforts, 4 doors, huge trunk, and it is fast! Straight line I suspect it is faster than my RS. At the track it is capable stock and you can put the track wheels in the back seat and trunk and still have a luxury trip to the track, actually hearing the music playing. Not an RS but still fun and a whole different driving experience. My daily driver and backup track car.

It was the weight.

No sense of occasion driving that car. It is pretty cool hearing that motor wail and the induction noise is fantastic. Driving around town, however, it doesn't feel much more interesting than a regular 3 series. I had the 6 speed transmission and the car was obviously not designed with that gearbox in mind, not to mention that it was not a particularly good feeling transmission.

I bought it because I always wanted to own an M3 and I was blinded by that for awhile. Ultimately, it was a big disappointment.

Not at all wet, just a few sections damp. Nothing major really.

Reason gts come now is to celebrate its 30 years the first m3 did show, 1986.
Well I was on that list of 911 R and will not get It, to bad.

Still I might get a gts. I kind of gave up hope on M cars after 2003. They came up short with everything after 2003. At the time of 2003 I had the one and only special bmw, the m3 csl. It was so god I had it For 5 years I think. Previus m3 gts was more show than go, it hardly was 2 seconds faster than the old 2003 csl on Nurburgring.

Until 2003 I track and own every M car more or less. Even old M5 3.8l with Nurburgring pack, that was also a very race engine and fun car.

Now, I could also say only a mother could Love the looks of this new gts, but anyway I dont care to much of looks. I like the damn car, and hope to get delivery soon.

7.28 min sport auto lap translate to ap. 7.08 btg time, I hope to see a LOT of porkers down at Nurburgring

My 2003 m3 csl was 1450kg full of fuel no driver. It had klima. Pdc, stereo (15% of csl was no klima, stereo, pdc, them was lighter)
My gt4 is 1430kg incl. Clubsport =cage, no driver, steel brakes and full of fuel. (Large fuel tank)This was weigh on same scale.
New gt3 Rs clubsport is ap. 1465kg(no driver) I guess?
New gts should be just under/over 1500kg full of fuel no driver. If so, not that bad. Ad cage and fire x in m3 GTS and its ap. 25-30kg ad on. Hope my Driverskills make up For the gts extra pork then.

I had both in The same time.
Of course GTS must be a good step ahead normal M4 even with a complete akrapovic system.

In terms of connections GT3 is so much generous. You feel many more things with it but have to be more precise with the rear, which is more on/off.

2 greats cars but not really for the same driving experience to my opinion.

That's one of the biggest issues when it comes to reselling cars. Seems as if only a few cars within specific marques retain theif value and the 911's are ond of those cars that keep their values. Of course there are exceptions but the 911 and some Ferrari's that keep their values high. Where as Ferrari's prospective buyers want as little miles as possible. It's as if their cars are to only be bought and parked and to be treated as a piece of art. Where as the Porsche 911 can be a daily driver and retain a good deal of their value. Just make sure to keep maintenance receipts for everything done and the owner should be good to go.

But in a current perspective it is how fast some of the Halo cars for some of the manufacturer's drop like a rock.
