Default Sticker shock, don't crash the RS

I called the dealer to get the air scoop inserts ordered (so I can paint them UV) but didn't when he told me they list at over $600 each. That's not the shock though as while he was on that parts page, he told me the price of the front fender on the RS. Ready for it? $14,000 each!! I'm pretty sure my insurance company has no clue as to RS parts pricing. Ouch!

honestly as awesome as the RS fenders are at $14k each, I'd be tempted to take them off and put Cup fenders on...

If you do something that damages the roof, chances are you will be looking at a writeoff...lol

For anybody that had a 1.1 GT3 as well, how much did your insurance go up for the RS?

Similar numbers for my 991 RS and 997.2 RS. I think it was about $20/month difference

Maybe PAG is over charging for parts now realizing they under charged for both the 3 and RS.

A hood is $15K as well. And we wanted MORE bespoke parts, lol. As long as the insurers don't know it's all good.

I wish I didn't know all this. Lol. Are they just trying to discourage conversions?

So if something hits you head on you're potentially looking at $43K plus the cost of the front aero, headlights, labor costs and any suspension damage?

Seems reasonable.

Well, the good news is that the sum of its parts is more than what the car sells for, including the 100K premium.

Once you get in the RS club you don't want to break anything.

I can't wait to see the price for the wing and uprights. Converting a GT3 to an RS rear end will have few takers this time. Porsche doesn't like in-brand counterfeits it would seem.
