Any tests of GT3 compared to the RS?

Agreed. It is human nature to be biased and justify increased spending, especially to a similar product. I would be very surprised to read an RS review stating the “upgrade” over the GT3 was NOT worth the extra expense. Reminds me when I lived in one of the highest property tax areas in the USA, everybody raved the schools were so great that it justified the high property taxes. In reality the schools as a whole were OK, but not great.

Willing to bet little or no difference at all. Would be down to driver. Especially after 8800 vs 9000 engines!

Also keep in mind that the RS has the next gen N1 tires, which appear to be better than the N0 tires currently available for the GT3. Both cars should be on N1 for a proper comparison.

Are the N1s available for the GT3 yet and when you change do you have to do all 4?
I do not believe the raw numbers will be much better than the GT3 but I can see mid range punch being more significant, quicker gear changes, and a different sounding engine. Probably enough to make some one feel the difference. I am interested if those that track are beating their GT3 times

I'd run the same tire front and rear, since doing otherwise could result in balance problems which could even be dangerous (eg, N1 appears to be better in rain, so N1 in front and N0 in rear could result in a car that wants to spin in the rain).

Is the N1 Cup 2 really a diff compound?

Seems to be. See 991 RS review thread for some discussion.
Agreed, IMO the cars need to be driven back to back for a proper comparison - comparing based on memory can be quite unreliable. And the qualitative descriptions of the RS are along the lines of what I'd say about the GT3, so they don't really reveal the differences between the cars, which may be subtle.

The one thing I have heard from reviewers and those here who have owned both is that the ride quality of the RS on the street is more supple. I think the best comparison you can get right now is from those here who have owned the GT3 and the RS.

My wife is upset that I might sell my RS at $150k premium and wants me to keep it.
My wallet was beaten into submission years ago and knows it'll get another beating if it says anything...
