Can you share the depth of your garage? I am looking at building a tandem garage next spring and playing with dimensions. Thanks in advance!

I have posted pictures of my shop, but my large roof section is 28.7' X 120' pitched at 20 degrees with 4 downspouts, BUT with that much roof and a big rain, well...I had to make improvements. My state does NOT allow me to catch even rain water for re-use!!

Long overdue addition of a wheel storage rack for the other set of GT3 wheels.

Did you install the mini split? If so, what did you go with and how does it perform for you down here in S FL?

Default Big *** fans?

Are big *** fans worth the price or are there better options for the money? I've had a couple guys recommend them, but I can't help but wonder if they are more name than substance? Any first hand experience with them and are there better options for the money?

I have a BAF, which I put in when building my external garage (pic below). Mine is now 5 years old, and doing great. I put in a BAF for a couple of reasons, has a ton of control, a dozen speed settings, reverse, remote/app, etc. Even at a very slow setting it is moving a ton of air. It is whisper quiet, cannot hear the Motor at all. I also went with a commercial grade which comes with a 10 year warranty. The main reason I went with a BAF, is that - in the pic below- the fan is attached at the peak which is like ~24 foot up. To replace or do anything (to the fan or the lights) is super involved - meaning a full scaffolding set up being built (around the barn beams, etc. It was a pretty involved installation of the fan and lights (by a certified BAF electrician - have to do that to get 10 years and not 5 year warranty) - my electrician happened to be certified by BAF, so no big deal getting that. I wanted a fan that had a long warranty - not for the warranty as much as I wanted something that I could run as much as needed and not worry about having to get someone up there if it were to break. The long warranty (hopefully translates) to issue free for longer, so I do not have to do anything maintenance wise.

Same with the lights, I bought the most highly rated lighting I could, and also commercial grade bulbs (from Stadium Lighting Company) - so I would not have to try and replace anytime soon.

We built the garage to match the outside profile of our house, as much as it looks cool, being so tall with the lights and fan, makes any maintenance if anything were to fail a huge pain.

Used to work for them. They are the real deal. Depending on the space you are trying to work with make sure you get the proper one for your situation. Feel free to PM me and I can help.

They are great, all no brand, one Mitsubishi.. all run off an app.
I’ve got 5 of them, in the sheds, pool storage, some other small rooms outside. Only clean the filters once a year.

Either AC it or everything rusts and molds.

Only have them two years, will see how they hold up..

Nothing too crazy here just yet.

Finally got my new garages built this past winter.

Large Double bay, large single bay.
Huge work bench the length of the garage. Redid the kitchen and used all of the old cabinets to get ample storage space.

I ran 220v to each side of the double bay side for future EVs/PHEVs. Just in case. Also ran it to the area I'm putting air compressor. Still have to get my lift, so I can get both the R8 and the RS in the same bay, but for now, I finally got the RS out of winter storage and moved into the new digs.

The mini-split is the absolute best. Keeps the garage at a nice 63*. I need to put one in my other set of garages too. The best thing about them is it just keeps the moisture out of that cold air.

Still a lot to do out there to get it all set up and finished. But at least the cars in there!
