Great work on your vehicles, garage and sonic tools , looks great.
Good luck on the new build! Can’t wait to see pics.

Cross-post alert. I put this on the 996TT thread as well. Cozy condo, separate from garage and shop. Fab'd between a couple shipping containers. 2-post lift going in the shop next.

Curious to the size of that garage - would you mind sharing the width' x depth' measurement? Thank you!

is that a yellow safety post in the first pic? if so, was it required by code? i've had a few whole home batteries, and my current tesla battery did not require it, but a previous samsung battery bank did.

Yes, that post was required when we installed the Tesla batteries. Apparently, we can have it removed after inspection if we like.

The garage is just 20’ wide and 22.5’ deep. 8 foot ceilings.

I have been using a CR Spotless DC20 unit for a few years now. No way I am going back to towel drying cars. It's great to have spot free air drying. Save time and potential scratching of the paint.

lol I was thinking the same thing as I look at my complete mess of a garage. Doing multiple projects at once including gutting the interior of our 914 GT pseudo race car and making it more street friendly. S&*t is everywhere, can’t move without tripping over stuff.
No pictures because it’s embarrassing…. The GT3 asked to be moved to the far stall to keep away from the mess!!

I am deciding between porcelain tiles or polished concrete floors. Are they able to make the polished concrete less slippery when wet? I live in Massachusetts, so there will be snow dripping off the cars, not to mention rain. I also want to be able to use jacks and Jack stands. Thanks

i had epoxy before, never again, like ice when wet

did polished concrete this time...its awesome...because its concrete, it just absorbs water, so not slippery at all

i was worried about tile cracking

very happy with our decision

I'm going with polished concrete. The contractor pours them in a few weeks. My architect specced "level 4" which should be the densest/most polished, because I don't want to seal them but also wanted to minimize staining. I am nervous though they'll be too slick or glossy. Any pics/thoughts on different level of finish? Anything critical as far as application that I need to make sure the contractor follows?
