It has been two great days so far. Some rain yesterday but just for a shorter time.

Unfortunately we lost two cars due to accidents.

One car got hit by an inexperienced driver and the other car touched the Armco lightly but enough to make the car insecure to drive.

The Scuderia Hanseat course is over for this time.
I did fairly well - you get evaluated in one final lap where you get between 1-10 points at 21 places along the track.

If you get over 175p you start in what is called The Winners Group at the next Scuderia.

I was in the WG but got kicked out this spring for driving too crappy but now I'm back

I'll post video later when I'm on beter internet.

Next thing now is race in RCN on Saturday - looks like it will be in rain.

Going out to the section Carousel-Brunchen. Early morning. Very tricky conditions.

Did the Scuderia Hanseat Course last week at the Ring and on lunch and late afternoon there is free practice.

I like this lap a lot, even though the guy in the red 991 GT3 was a bit busy looking forward, because of the feeling of speed and fluid motion in the video.

(I'm in my 997.1 GT3)

Nice video. You were obviously quicker that those two in front but didn't have the HP to do anything about it.

Sort of - I was afraid that the red car didn't see me, which was the case in many corners where I show him that I want to pass.
The risk was simply to high.

They apologized afterwards

RCN 8 Turned out to be a very wet affair.

I shared it together with Mr T.

Our result was not great in our class: #8 out of 9.

In the total we where #61 out of 135 which is rather OK. But being on the top 1/3 would have been much nicer...

But if you consider that 39 out of 135 cars didn't make it to the end of the race we are very happy.

Neither me or Mr T got any confidence in the rain tires (17" Michelin Endurance tires) so our lap times where rather poor. According to the team it was too cold but looking at the other cars results I suspect that maybe the tires where a bit old. Remember: I drive with a small budget...

Today I applied for Permit B license which will allow me to drive VLN in a smaller car and also to drive the last RCN race which is basically the exact format of an VLN-race: 4 hours, full speed all laps, GP track plus Nordschleife.
The difference from VLN is that the GT3 cars from VLN are not allowed in the RCN race.

Later if (a big if) I do two VLN races in a smaller car and get decent results I can apply for the Permit A license which opens the door (and my pockets...) to big cars in VLN but most of all to the 24H race.

Here's one of the slower laps of last race to get a feeling of how wet it waas:

Misha talked shortly about the race:

Some heavy camber there! Good to see the 997 still out!

I need all the help I can get

Not many 997 GT's at the Scuderia. The 991 platform is definitely dominant.

Early morning Scuderia Hanseat

If you have the chance to come to the Nurburgring in the Autumn: Go out early on track - even if it is wet - the light and the colors are terrific.

Not the best picture to illustrate this but still.
