Just left my car for two years service:

There is a service action on the RS regarding the Coolant tank.

It needs to be replaced because of a sensor problem.

This is not a 991.1 RS specific issue but I'm not sure exactly which cars are affected.

Hi Grant,

Actually I don't know because this was at the end of the day and we didn't meet afterwards. This was one of his first laps in the car.

But I'll meet him in the weekend so I'll ask him .

I put together a 35 minute video that pretty much sums up an RCN race and includes a small description of the RCN race's typical structure. Including rollout, pitstop and parc fermé.

Looks like a fun day!
Reminds me a bit of Chump racing but with better cars and track.

Lap 1, 7 and 8 are boring no?
Why is that in there? Just an extra challenge?

Why the yell at the mini @ 6:50?

1,7,8 is not boring - you have to be really focused to not miss your set time. If you miss the set time you get penalty.
There is three groups on the track - all driving different strategies so you must handle the fast cars coming from behind and the slow ones infront of you.

The purpose of it is IMO to make the RCN not as competitive as VLN. RCN is the step you do before VLN.

The yell: It is my copilot: I think he wants the mini to pass him before that very important corner. Now he's got a bad exit onto the Döttinge Höhe.

Funny enough I give back in Wipperman

OK, I think I get it; 1-7-8 is really to learn race craft; pit stop, being passed and passing while concentrating even when going slow.

Off the pace is really hard for me to do.

One day I will learn the Ring and participate!
Wish I could spend ore time at the Ring, thanks for sharing and explaining.

This app race would be fantastic to participate in...

Sorry Peter,

I didn't read what you wrote properly.

Lap 7 and 8 you can drive as fast as you like even though they don't actually count.
Well, they do count because you get penalty for every second over 48 minutes. If it starts to rain then you might be in trouble.

To participate you need a minimum national license A.

The last race is 4 hour race with proper roping start and first over the finish line win.
To do that you need a special Nordschleife Permit C.

And yes, you should try it.
