Bartron, very nice! I think LO looks even better with an accent colour!
Since you asked, here are my thoughts. First of all, have you seen Apricot in person? It is quite a bit yellow (vs orange) to my eye, and also somewhat "cloudy" or "milky" in appearance. Be sure this is the look you want. I would suggest you try to get a sample. For example, while the exact 3M line that the factory uses is not available in Canada, you can probably get a fair idea of the colours from other products. I have been led to believe that Gerber gets 3M to manufacture their vinyl (even says they are partners on the free sample colour card brochure I have--here is a link to a Gerber sample colour card brochure, slightly different from mine, fwiw), and was told to try using this as a reference. (I did all this to help another friend with his R.)
If you like Apricot, then one small suggestion is to consider the PORSCHE script in black to tie in with the black wheels and accents elsewhere. BTW, you do have the choice of matte vs shiny with black, and I'd suggest matte. BTW, Apricot only comes in shiny vinyl. Also, fwiw, if you go with carbon side mirrors (black), the lower bracket is usually exterior paint colour (LO in your case). I've also added back the standard black washer nipples since they might tie in with the black accents.
If you prefer more orange in the stripes, then try something like 3M's Signal Orange. It probably corresponds to the Gerber Light Orange (which when I compared this to an authentic, original 1970's Porsche Signal orange colour card is quite close). You can see it is subtly different, but more orange in this mock up:
Another more wild suggestion is to look at a totally different colour for the script. I would suggest something like Magenta. As it turns out, Porsche used these exact colours together (Tangerine (like LO), Signal orange, and Magenta (aka the old original Karminrot, not present day Carmine red)) on their 1974 colour card!! That's where I got the idea. Here is the cover to my original 1974 Standard Colours card, to show you what I'm referring to:
I've substituted platinum wheels, and LO washer nipples.
Finally, you can also go with silver stripes to match the aluminum wheels (like the really great example done with black). Sorry, my mock up does not do the silver colour justice. Here I'd go with LO side mirrors and washer nipples.
Ultimately, no one can tell you what looks best. Colour is so very subjective, and only you can be the judge of what you like most. Hopefully these ideas will be of some use to you.

Oh, one other thing. If you're really serious about getting samples of the precise 3M products, you can buy sample cards with them. Here is a link to a vendor that sells one from the UK. I didn't go this far, since I had the free sample card from Gerber already.
