Thing is...that R is not white...is more a creamy colour! I've seen it at the factory and it does look...weird!!
It was also the first R with a glossy black painted engine grill surrounding.
Loads of CXX on that car, none that I liked tho!
EDIT: If it's definitely white (it does look white from those pics but on a screen you can't really tell) there is another US car with a creamy white and red bonnet!

Interesting updates! Thanks for clarifying that it isn't white, maxt. I didn't realize Light ivory was now approved--wasn't on the last list I saw (now outdated). That is such a great historic colour for the R, wysl94, and I really hope that's it. Can you post the window sticker please? It would be interesting to see more detail on the car.

You are right. I can confirm this is the first true PTS R for North America. Loess has 1 logged for the US, and I have obtained the window sticker for this that shows Exterior Paint to Sample Non-Metallic. My best guess is PTS Light Ivory, to match the original 1967 R. Also has $47k in CXX options which is just unreal!

It's proved to be exceedingly difficult to obtain actual color samples to compare against a real LO painted panel. I'll PM you with more.

Everyone has their own idea of style and needs, I didn't buy mine because I wanted the lightest 911 currently made. For me it was the combination of biggest motor, manual transmission and clean silhouette. Many here have chosen to build without an A/C for weight savings... Sweating my nuts off to save a few kilo isn't the right car for me but again to each their own and I won't judge on individuality.... but I do congratulate all for getting this amazing car!!!

More R and R pictures from the Road Scholars event.
BTW, after getting a clear bra, it will be driven!!
(Just like the 959 that tool park in our morning back country group drive. I spent the whole morning chasing it!)
Trying to contain the 959!

Thanks for those photos. I really like what they've done with this R!! Are the two R's owned by the same person, anyone know? And I'm so glad light ivory sounds like it got approved--perfect for this car!
