This is precisely what has been told to me.
Getting 520 bhp from 4 liters for a atmo engine is possible but will be at cutting edge of design envelope and affect durability I suspect. Ferrari were the highest on the Speciale at 132 bhp/L and the 991GT3 & RS both at 125 bhp p/L approx. Now the Ferrari V8 atmo engine is being phased out we may see a ceiling for a while on 132 bhp/L for a little while?
I dont believe Porsche will have another engine with 9000 rpm anytime soon.
The 7 speed manual would be horrible. I hope the develop a new 6 speed unit.
The "R" sounds like another marketing spin IMO.
Anyway its great to have more choice!

6 vs 7 speed doesn't matter for we probably know that the odds of the gearing of the R will be different,from the other Porsche MT's, and that the 7th gear will be for highway cruising. Hopefully...
