Car Trailers for GT3

For open trailers, look at a trailex CT-8045. Bought one a few years ago, after having a steel trailer for years, not sure why I waited so long. The long ramps makes loading easier.

Purchase a set of Rennline Tie Downs.
Used to have an open Featherlite towed by my previous tow Expedition.
Any specific questions, I'd be happy to help.

I tow an ATC Quest CH305 with my F-250 (w/Reese Sway/load balancer). http://www.aluminumtrailer.com/produ...dCarHaulers/65

Where are the straps connected?
I have an open Jimglo tilt trailer using over the wheel MAC nets. All works good. A little difficult to push the nets in but better than the through the wheel straps I use to use.

I had ATC fabricate the ramps for me. It's a common option they offer. The just fold up and secure to the door.
As for the tow vehicle, I wouldn't recommend towing this particular enclosed trailer (7000# loaded) with anything less than an F-250. I tried towing it ONCE with my Expedition (9000# tow capacity). When I did tow it with the Expedition, I saw G-D when being flanked by 18-wheelers. I traded in the Expedition for an F-250 the next week.

The fronts connect at the jack points and the rears connect just foward of the transmission. Takes 15 minutes to install. I used to use the MAC wheel nets in addition to the 4 tied down straps but found that to be a little overkill.

Some people install a SuperWinch S5000 with remote and 'walk' the car up the trailer.

It's not. I lay a towel down on the door so when I open it, I don't hit the wheel cowling. Then I move the seat all the way back and slide out. It isn't fun, but I only have to do it twice during the weekend.

Warn winches are IMHO the best, especially with a synthetic rope and the remote is fantastic. Just walk it up!
TPD trailers are the best and hold their value. Below is my setup. Please also check out 24Chromiums Trailer Diary!https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...ler-diary.html
