I have first hand knowledge of what an "okay-ly" driven 991 GT3 will do around HPR.

a good friend that knows HPR well says a 1:54 on stock tires would be smoken

I think around 2:00 is probably a reasonable expectation for a stock 991 GT3 with a fairly experienced driver at HPR.

2:00.2 is possible. With no mistakes, later braking, I assume 1:58 on stock rubber is doable IMO

Took out the new RS to COTA this weekend. Had some nice morning sessions and ran a 2:23.41 with the stock Dunlops and an alignment. I'm pretty happy with that. Checkout how hard the 675LT pulls on the RS in the straights.

1:57's would be my guess. My e36 m3 race car with 200hp less with me driving does 1:58/1:59's on a pretty warm day and OKAY tires, but much much more grip than GT3.

I'll let you know this weekend what I get at Oktoberfast PCA day.

Nice work, pretty clear who the better driver is. That LT has impressive pull.

Are you running stock brakes? Seems very stable and you're going pretty deep in the high speed braking zones.

Thank you. Stock brakes. I don't think the camera shows the butt wiggling, but it is. Never seems to cause any issues...*knocks on wood*

as as far as the 675LT I'm wondering if they struggle in the esses. Another 675LT owner mention the car likes to be settled and the short line through the Essex is a bit bumpy.

Grant,
On Oct 7th, Eric and his GT4 ran a 2.00.56 (you can find it on YouTube) and I ran a 1.59.36. After looking at the 10 laps at 2 mins and under, I think high 1.57, low 1.58 is out there if willing to take more risks.

I would be curious what the 3R guys would do in a 991 GT3 or GT4. Would be interesting.

It's good. Feels like the regular GT3 with a little bit different balance and faster lap times. No good pics just yet. Cage, belts, exhaust, and hoosiers are going in and on now.

Default Hoosiers?

M3irish,

Other than the guys at GMG, I think you are the first I have seen to put Hoosiers on the RS. I assume you are going 19"s all around.

The question I am really starved for an answer on is does going with 19's upset the nannies?

I know GT3 guys have run 19's without issue with the nannies on, but I am concerned that the stock 20/21 stagger on our cars has been programmed into the nannies and the change in rolling ratios will lead the car to believe bad things are happening and you will need to turn them all off, which for some is OK, but I like having them on just in case (e.g., oil/anti-freeze on surface).

Can you PLEASE report out on whether running the 19s creates issues that require the nannies to be turned off, even if you normally run them off anyway so the rest of us have an answer to this question?

Many thanks in advance
