sorry if asked and answered previously, but isn't there a shade of green that only Porsche family members are allowed to have?

Definitely true when Ferry was alive, but I don't know if still true. I believe it was a light green metallic similar to what Mercedes offered in the '70s. I want to say pine green but not sure, Mercedes used to do the SL in two tone and a dark green metallic hardtop was paired with the light green metallic body. Eduardo?

This is a story that we often hear repeated. We know that
the Porsche family is originally Austrian & many shades of
green are very popular in that population in general as you
can see from their beautiful Loden woolen jackets. And
that preference holds true for both the Porsche & Piëch
families!

And we know that some form of 'green' was definitely the favorite
hue on cars for this family since Porsche became a car manufacturer
in 1948.

But was it always the same 'green' hue? The fact is that it was not
always the same 'green' that it was chosen by family members or
even Ferry Porsche! It is true that more often than not it was a
metallic shade of 'green' that was chosen...rather than a solid/uni
color! But there were many shades of 'green' paint chosen:

We do know that the family's favorite color for their Porsches was in
the 'Green' palette. But frankly, I don't believe that any one particular
color was held in 'reserve' for them & a color not offered to any other
VIP under the PTS in the Special Wishes or 'Sunderwunsch' program
which dates back at Zuffenhausen from the earliest of 356 times!

So at some point, the Porsche family has done their cars in 'Radium
Green', 'Jade Green Metallic', 'Lago Green Metallic', 'Auratium Green',
'Irish Green','Oak Green Metallic', et al. And now we see some of the
Porsche family cars in the likes of 'Brewster Green'...which is not a
metallic color for a change!

Saludos,
Eduardo

Default Midnight Purple Pearl (W86)?

Are there any more known pics of Midnight Purple Pearl (W86)? Trying to get a feel of how it compares to Viola Metallic (3AE). Looks to be a little darker with less of an "eggplant" hue. Color is from an Acura NSX. Thanks!

Default 997 PTS Production Numbers per color

Does anyone know of a resource that provides a break down of 997 production numbers for PTS colors and other options?

Oh wow! I’m laying in my crib this eve starting to think about colors for a 992 GT3 and I come across this! Jill and I had a great time with @montoya! I still think of that trip so fondly. In total we covered 4,400 miles end to end. From Portland we did the loop east of Portland and you suggested and it was beyond words - like the garden of eden! From there we went to the Willamette Valley and then through the woods to the coast meandering our way to the Campbell River on Vancouver Island. We finished in Seattle and caught a plane and had the car shipped home. It was terrific! Our next epic trip is pending but likely depending upon which college my eldest son ultimately selects which is likely out of state. We shall see shortly. Anyway our time with @montoya was one of the highlights for sure. We stayed at The Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach but we could have had dinner at the Salish - not sure. We went to one place that I thought I had booked for a couple days and I screwed up the reservation and it was for a day later. Might have been the Salish. Anyway we ended up staying several days at the Stephanie and we were lucky to do so apparently.
Such a fun adventure and meeting up with @montoya made even more special. Jill say’s Hello and really wants to see your gardens next time in the area.

My two favorite pics from your trip. Yes what a nice memory- can’t wait for sports car driving season to start. You guys need to come back, we can set up some great drives/ garden tours!

Been racing in the meantime- this last weekend at Autoclub. Was going to tow my car down but weather in the passes was a little dicey. Too bad- great sunny weather in So Cal all weekend. Oh well!!
