that state back in the days. Those two were associated to fortunes that
arose out of Microsof corporate success. And there were probably more.
Washington State has some great automobile collections of all types and
at least one very significant auto museum!

And the number of private collections is pretty impressive:

Not to mention Bruce and John McCaw's historic automotive collection
which has to be one of the best in the world.

While we are on the subject of interesting car places in the Seattle area,
a fellow Rennlister & Porsche enthusiast (Doug Perry) has just opened
an interesting new type of car storage & social activity center in Redmond.

I encourage all of you in the Seattle area to pay him a visit &
check out the facility. It's really impressive. I have it on my
list of things to do on my next visit to Seattle!

Likewise. Thanks for the great conversation, albeit short. See you next month.

Eduardo - Correct! I bought one of his Porsche's.

Are you still in the Seattle area? Redmond Town Center usually has a Saturday morning event that's well attended by Porsche aficionados. Would be great to meet Mr. PTS.

Congratulations in whatever Porsche you bought
from one of these guys. What did you acquired
& when?

I was in the Seattle area for just three days a few
weeks ago. But we are there often because we
have 13 year old twins nieces that we try to see
often. They are in their youth soccer years and
we spent 3 days at 60 Acres Field in Redmond
for a soccer tournament. Our relatives live in
West Seattle. They are 'early' retired from their
Starbucks executive jobs.

But hopefully we will meet on my next trip to
your area. I heard from Amar about the
'Exotics at Redmond Town Center'. I'll try
to make that event for sure next time I am in
the Seattle area!

Eduardo, I purchased a 50th Anniversary 911 around 3 years ago w/less than 200 miles on it - superbly optioned in graphite grey. Let RL know the next time you're up - Redmond Town Center is a good place or Carillon Point in September where there's an all-Porsche show (and sometimes includes Porsches from collections of those you mentioned earlier).

Here's a link to the latter: https://www.pnwr.org/content.aspx?pa...item_id=870192

Congratulations on that 50th Anniversary 911. In the history of these Anniversary editions, none come close to matching
the wonderful details found on the 50th which makes it such a collectible. And the market prices for used ones reflect that
uniqueness & desirability.

I will indeed let you via Rennlist when I go back to Seattle. That Pacific NW PCA event at Kirkland
sounds like a great gathering. I met the ex-president of that region - Ed Jenkins - many years ago
at a Rennsport Reunion in Monterey.

He actually did have a club coupe, not just the cover. In any event, here is a real club coupe (not Tom’s).

From an older thread in one of the forums (Planet 9) & can not vouch for being totally accurate.
But it gives you an idea of how to loosely interpret the Porsche Vehicle Status categories:

V070 - is just a demand for an allocation from a dealer. You are not guaranteed a car and have only requested that you want one.

V100 - your order entered into the system. Could still be rejected if you select any of the seemingly random currently unavailable options.

V200 - means Porsche has given your dealer an allocation and fulfilled your request so 'order accepted; delivery date (estimate) determined'.
It stays there if they accept the items you have chosen in your build. If an item, like LWB's (or PTS request) gets turned down, you will drop
to a V170 status (or V180 status) & your dealer needs to make changes...

(V215 - My '15 'Signal Green' had this status when I found it & it read: "Blocked by PAG - not changeable")

V250 - vehicle fixed. No more goofing with the configurator and making your SA nuts like I did by changing your build options...

V260 - your car enters assembly

V270 - your car exits assembly

V300 - your car is considered completed by the factory and now your wait really starts if you are not on the European Continent.

V331 - after sitting around at the factory your pride & joy has now arrived at the Port of Emden

V332 - after waiting what seems like forever in Emden, your car is hopefully very carefully loaded on a ship bound for the U.S.

^ Technically it is correct that V170/180 means PAG needs changes, however in the last PTS cycle for GT3, almost everyone moved to this status while waiting for a confirmed production date and no changes were required. So while you can generalize, each specific model and option request between V100 and V215 can be a different situation and codes mean different things seemingly depending on the model.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this or whether this car has already been discussed elsewhere but I went yesterday to check out this PTS lichtgrun/birch green '18 GT3 at my local dealer as I wanted to see the color in person. First, let me just say that this color went from "I could never own" based on the pics to "a must have color" in person! Really spectacular in person. Anyway, the somewhat bad news... The dealer was up front with me that the car was a PCNA car that saw track time and had range 4 over revs. As a result, they could not certify it so FYI if anyone has been scoping out this car. But it was covered in clear film and the condition was excellent.

Pardon my drive into OT space, but what does 'range 4 over revs' mean?
