Reference Guide to PTS

And that is how I believe Porsche will handle PTS on this very desirable
.2 991 gt3. And it might become a format for all future PTS allocations
in the highly desirable Porsche models (e.g. next gt4, next Boxster
Spyder, next .2 991 gt3 RS, next gt2 RS, etc). There will be no PTS
window per se. Porsche will, like always, decide on the limited number
of PTS vehicles it's willing to handle in production for that model. And
they might allocate those slots to different world markets (Germany,
the Middle East, US, Canada, etc). Then it's up to Porsche's country
importer (e.g. PCNA) to decide WHO gets PTS among all the customers
that request them via their local dealers! This might be the 'Brave New
World' of PTS at Porsche going forward![/COLOR]

Ironically, I think it is actually RS Green (now just "green") from the shade of it.
My SA said it had been up there forever and no one was sure what it was, but if people were interested in a color like that they could get frogs to compare.
They also had saffron yellow, but I forgot to take a picture. :-(

22S is the current color code for 'Signal Green'.
***
'RS Green' (2D8) & 'Signal Green' (22S) both have some
'blue' tint. But if the sample has most of 22S in the back
more than likely is 'Signal Green'!
***
That's mighty nice of them! It might save these cuties
from showing up as dinner at a French restaurant near
you!

No worries...Rennlister Tobias has already posted them a while

Hi folks,
Here are some sample shots of Saffronyellow which I have taken at our local Porsche Centre earlier today; they received the panel yesterday. The other panel is Racingyellow. Saffronyellow is a deep, saturated yellow, with a golden hue.
Three shots have been taken under spot/neonlight, one in the showroom with a racingyellow Boxster as comparison; the sun just came through the windows.
According to the salesperson, this color should - however - only be eligible for Turbo S / Turbo. Whether or not this comes on GT3 he did not know.
Best

to the master Eduardo. Thank you!
The saffron was unique in person. I am not a yellow person, but it is special and different. Whether it is worth the extra money over and above PTS is a matter of personal taste, but I don't think we will see many around ... I could be wrong though!
BTW, while I was finagling at the dealer, I asked why Night Blue Metallic was not on the GT3 configurator and no one seemed to know. Maybe to sell more blue PTS??????
My current hunt is to find a picture of Agate deviated stitching on black. I think it will look nice, maybe even with deviated carpet (this is all C2 not GT3 related). Eduardo words on deviated stitching are still in my head.

on the configurator & it is $11,580 in our market. But we do
not have to worry about it too much on this forum because
initially it appeats to be 'exclusive' to the 911 Turbo models
& not available (yet) as PTS!
*******************************************
I speculated on that very topic. Here I repeat it for
the dos centavos that it might be worth!
Probably because the current color palette that
you see in the configurator for the 991 is still for
their MY2017 models:
The .2 991 gt3 is in reality a MY2018 & my guess
is that 'Night Blue Metallic' will not be offered in
the MY2018 on any 991 model. So PAG decided
to drop that color from the MY2018 gt3 configurator
& leave you one color short:
I would think that once the MY2018 regular 991
changes are announced soon PAG will reveal the
new color they will replace 'Night Blue Metallic'
with. Question is if .2 991 gt3 customers will be
allowed to choose that color & when?

benefits enormously from the 'pop' it receives when it
gets stitching in a deviated color!
*
Porsche 'Black' full leather interior with standard ('mouse grey') stitching:
Not enough contrast! To quote Van Jones, this is sort of a boring 'Nothing-Burger'!
*
Porsche 'Black' full leather interior with deviated stitching in 'Black':
The money spent on all that deviating stitching gets kind of lost!
Perhaps even Mooty might agree!
*
Porsche LTS 'Black' full leather interior with deviating stitching in 'GT Siver':
You get more contrast & definition!
But to each his own! This is just my personal opinion!
****************************************************
Hopefully just 'words' & not actual stitches!
But if you ever DO need deviating stitching in your body in a medical
procedure because you want to be different & a 'trend-setter' here at
Rennlist, I recommend sutures from a company called 'Sinorgmed':
I love their 'Riviera Blue', 'Viper Green' & 'Mexico Blue' lines. Personally, I
am not that excited with their 'Black'. It's too 'Frankenstein' for my taste!
But all their colors will offer that contrasting 'pop' that is so in fashion today,
both in car interiors...and human exteriors!

Im with the opinion shared earlier that I think PTS numbers for a model are determined above then allocated to dealers based on the usual metrics. Then what the dealer does with their allocation is a reflection of the dealer.

Update: I have an allocation V100 the paint code for Pastel Orange is inputed, but my contact at PCNA showed me that order went through with 'feasibility check failed'. Now that could be because I put the European delivery as Zuffenhausen since it currently closed, or it could be because my order was placed to a stock vehicle rather than customer order. Hopefully unravel this today.
Stay tuned, hopefully Pastel Orange is not the issue....

Three Wheelin'
Pastel Orange is approved so feasabilty check failure is not applicable. Some other issue most likely.

Did they enter it as a ZPT request?

Yes, it's coded in as ZPT and the color is in the request. Hopefully it's just that we selected the wrong location for European delivery. I thought I would find out today, but still waiting on answers. Maybe I should call Porsche Exclusive in Atlanta, they may have better insight into what's happening although I doubt it.

I think V180 means the commission number and order is valid and accepted but not officially approved.
As things currently stand for US orders, the actual Vehicle Status for submitted PTS orders should read: "V180 - PAG Text handling required".
In essence, still waiting for PAG to approve.

Once I solve it I will post here. Still not sure if it's the scheduled delivery location or something else. Have two different answers at the moment...
