It's well known that bumper covers are painted by vendors, or do you have pictures or other evidence to the contrary?

So for those of you with PTS allocation requests in North America, your production date should have moved to June 'ish' and your V code should be V180 for now, until review by Porsche in Germany sometime probably after the summer break, when they have a full crew. Presently all PTS requests world wide are under review for the .2 GT3. Once review is complete and there are no problems with paint selection you should move to a V2xx status (frozen or changeable). The options related to paint obviously will not be changeable but non paint related options like the new deviated stitching options probably will be.

This is per conversation with Porsche this morning. Let us know if you have a PTS request with a V2xx code, which would indicate they are processing the requests back in Germany despite the summer break.

None, I guess it could go either way, and the length of lead time for PTS would indicate that there is a very long supply chain and it is definitely impacted by paint! Logic and quality control would say that the plastic bits are painted in the same paint facility to have a perfect match, but logistics probably are too complicated.

What V code do you have?

Are you in North America?

What the heck is BE? Belgium?

Are you sure your actual production is October? Maybe the European market cars are going earlier.

So. Many. Questions.

Did your indicated production date actually move to June in the system?

All I know is they told me it's June production, I don't have a view of what's in the system, but they told me that nothing is confirmed until the review is done in Germany and they start to finalize schedules. So we may all be grouped together with a June production window, but once scheduled everyone will probably spread out over a longer window. My guess is that it will probably be 6-12 weeks, ending in June. Pure speculation based on past practice.

Hey Montoya. Thanks for all the info. For the US, do you think the first PTS cars will have a possibility of arriving in the 1st quarter of 2018 after talking to Porsche or would summer 2018 be more realistic?

I think for NA customers Q1 is probably out of the question, but until they finalize schedules back in Germany it's just a guess. I think there will be a 3 month build window starting sometime in spring of 18. So yes summer is more realistic. Good luck!

Some rennlisters have PM'd me that there is another price change for PTS- latest $12,830!!!

UGH.

I haven't checked on my build yet this afternoon, but it seems to have gone up sometime today. I'll confirm when I have more info on my build.

Any others??

I'm hoping that's a placeholder typo until PAG confirms final pricing in the V180 -> V200 "text handling" process.

Given build sheets have shown both $9.3k and $12.8k now, while other 911s are $6.9k, I think it's safe to say the interim numbers are suspect until there is more official confirmation (such as the configurator going live).

Here's my theory on the PTS pricing:

The 911.2 Turbo in the North American market currently lists PTS as an option at $6950. It also lists the "Special Colors" at $3150.

The 991.2 GT3 lists the "Special Colors" at $4220 (a +34% increase in price relative to the Turbo).

If you mark up the $6950 Turbo PTS also by +34%, you get $9313... which is pretty darn close to the $9270 originally mentioned in this thread.

So my guess is that $9270 sticks as the actual PTS pricing... but just a guess!

PTS production doesn't start before 2018.
