Interesting. I can't tell if the calipers are the standard yellow or not on that car. Plus, the rear badging is most definitely different.

Picked up my Voodoo Blue RS last Friday. Absolutely love the car. The color is actually a bit lighter than the iPhone captures. I had never seen Voodoo Blue in person when I ordered the car and was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up that it looks even better than I anticipated.

It's currently at Protective Film Solutions getting a full XPEL wrap and window tint. Will post more photos once it has been tinted.

yet even the 05/03/16 approved list.
It looks like 'Signal Yellow' to me...but what do I know.
Ask your contacts there to note the paint code which
should be on a sticker somewhere on the car!

'Giallo Midas' is a 3 stage paint Pearl Effect Lamborghini
color. Porsche doesn't like complicated 3 stage paints.
Porsche's 'Oryx White Pearl Effect' cost double regular
PTS prices (currently nearly $7K on the 991), which
discourages many would be 'Pearl Effect' 3-stage
customers.

For now, I am going with "trust but verify" for the Giallo Midas.
WYS: You are saying that a Porsche's 'division' for Central Europe
repaints brand new cars in different colors beyond the official PTS
list? Color me 'Dubious Pear Effect' in 5, not 3, Stages!

For starters, the manufacturer's new paint warranty would be shot.
And the liability alone for that would be unacceptable to the bean-
counters in Germany, as well as the local Czech & Slovakian group!
No, I don't think so. You didn't hear that story from Georg &
Yortug Festrunk, the two swinging' Czech brothers? Be warned
...they are wild & crazy guys!

Eduardo, I am merely making these conjectures based on what I have. But it is not without any basis.

I'll point you to this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...repainted.html

User "Woppum" kindly documented the whole process of how his truly 1-of-1 "Worrange" 991 GT3 RS came to light, all - get this - officially with Porsche GB. The work too is fully warrantied by Porsche as well. It is much much more expensive than the PTS process. But it is possible. According to the owner, Porsche GB has a Special Operations branch - I believe through Porsche Centre Reading - and this was made possible through them. And if this hasn't made the German bean counters go into asphyxiation yet, they might after learning that this is a repaint OVER a base car which was White. This is an official repaint, loud and clear.

So, in response to:

Yes. It has been done - in another part of Europe (or ex-, as we will find out soon enough).

Now when I heard that, in addition to this claimed Giallo Midas from Prague, another 991 GT3 RS was ordered in Rosso Fuoco from neighboring Bratislava (and this contact has promised pictures upon delivery, which I will forward here) - that's when I recalled Woppum's RS and hedged my bets on a similar, regional Specials Operations division being the case for these cars. Not one, but TWO cars from countries managed by Porsche Central Europe.

The claimed Giallo Midas car also has evidence of a lot of Porsche CXX options on it, such as the gloss black wheels, gloss black wing tips, gloss black rear air vents just beneath the glass, as well as the Porsche script in gloss black on the rear that apparently indeed is a feasible CXX option. In other words, this car truly goes all out - makes it much more believable that this repaint could have been done through an official means with Porsche (whether it's at the dealer level or regional level). This is a newly delivered car as well, with plates not yet installed - this discounts the possibility of it being a wrap job. Wraps are almost always done after the cars are delivered, registered and even driven based on the ones I know of.

Hope this clears up where I am coming from with my conjecture, Eduardo. Cheers.

Will

Odd point, but why the one wiper up for each car in Exclusive?

No customer of Porsche has yet requested as PTS the color
'Verde Mantis', which is the current metallic green hue available
on the Huracan!
Yes! I'm excited to see someone request this especially for all the green love on this forum.

Will,
Thanks then for starting that Instagram page. Always excited to see if a new color pops up. By any chance, can you get more pics of that Grigio Telesto from your source and post on here? I've seen it in person on Lambo's and it's fantastic. Would love to see more on the GT3.

Indeed that PTS 'Grigio Telesto' 991 gt3 RS at McKenna is very striking!

Does anyone knows if they were able to get the $100K premium over
sticker that they were originally asking for?
